Description
This simulator will give you a realistic experience of what it's like to handle a large ship. It includes some features which often seem to be missing in other simulators:
- Astern effect of the propeller
- Drift during turn
- Pivot point movement
- Rudder effectiveness based on propeller flow and ship's own velocity
- Bow thruster effectiveness influenced by ship's velocity
For the moment there are three ships (cargo ship, supply ship and battle ship). In the future more may be added.
The game is played in a sandbox style with a sea, river and port environment and customisable current. I plan to also add wind effect.
The simulation is based on the mathematical hydrodynamic MMG model which is also used in professional ship handling and mooring simulators.

- Better collision detection
- Improvements to NPC ships: more NPC ships + improved NPC autopilots. They will run down the river sticking to their SB side as much as possible. You can switch the NPC ships on or off from the Settings/Ships menu.
- Performance improvements for weaker devices

Nice sim that feels more realistic than many others
Nice work, I like the shiphandling in this sim it’s much more realistic and challenging than many of the other so called ‘’simulators’ here.
Some suggestions for consideration.
I would like to see views from the bridge wings as standard, ships are often conned from there
It would be good to set the default time scale in the prefs
Night mode with buoyage would be nice
Some Classic steamships and perhaps a paddle steamer would be a nice addition with their variation in manouvering ability etc
It would be great to see this sim as part of a larger shipping business game like the classic Ports of Call game from the 1980s

I enjoy it very much, please add as many ships as possible. Or another map/missions
Great game.
Excellent game. Could do with some better views from the bridges of the vessels and the ability to use mooring lines to make fast to the berths, these could be used when berthing and unberthing. Damage taken off when berthing would be useful too.
