Support for the higher frames rates of ProMotion displays. A change to the launch screen image size.

New score and control displays. Avoidance levels have been replaced with new shooting levels.

Name change: twist&shoot is now Shootstorm 2. Development has brought the project nearer to my earlier game, so naming it as a sequel seems appropriate. Ads removed from this version, but will be put back in a future version. Optimisation.

Optimising of the timing for the transition from level number disappearing to the enemies appearing. Bug fix.

Bug fix and optimisation.

Avoidance levels slowed down for better balance with the other levels. Faster movement through the nebula space. Control dial repositioned and scaled so that it cannot overlap the player craft on any screen type. The user interface has been overhauled with a new look, actions and layout. A clearer pause screen. Adverts have been added. They are not clickable, so do not interfere with the game flow, and sit towards the corners of the screen where they do not interact with the circular gameplay.

Controller dial position options have been removed. The option added confusion for very little benefit. Having the dial at the bottom-centre works best, so it is now the only choice.

The player control dial has been repositioned slightly higher. Game start level text is now above the play button (this only appears when a higher restart option has been unlocked).

Fix for potential issue related to highlighting a high score on the main menu (the bug has not happened, but theoretically could). The following changes from the recent update still apply: Revised enemy bullet graphics for increased visibility. Extra life icon movement revised for extra visibility. A high score from the most recent game is shown in white on the main menu. Final score display movement slowed further to help differentiate from level display. Level start selector hidden in the settings menu until any options are unlocked. Music and sound effects volume selectors have dimmed graphics when set to zero. New icons for controller position selector. All menu option selectors have revised bar graphics. Credits screen removed from instructions sequence for faster viewing.
