Frustrating details ruin a great game

Looking for something like Pharaoh to play on my iPad, I was thrilled to find this game, which ticked all the boxes. The gameplay is a little different to prompt in-app purchases, but the game is playable without them and has no ads, so that’s not a problem for me. My big criticism is that the game only allows you to sign up as a guest, then limits your gameplay significantly because of it. Guests are unable to rename their cities, and are limited to one city. I’d love to link my game to Facebook to get rid of these limits, but it doesn’t work - FB says the app is disabled and the developer is aware.

I can deal with the timers and dodgy translation. I’d happily pay for the game if it didn’t limit my playing.

My type of long awaited game

I really enjoyed the old PC game age of Empires and have been waiting years for something similar. I hate all the modern games where you have no flexibility on where to place your builds, but this game allows all that. I have also never been one for fighting wars (which is what all the modern games are about) where as with this game you simply build. It is not always so easy and you really have to think about structure and layout.
This games is fairly new (judging by the version number), so no doubt there are many improvements on the way. There are a few things that are a bit glitchy (like adding friends and switching between cities), but I am sure the Dev team will sort that all out soon. Can’t wait to see what new cities get added in future too. I will happily pay a small fee to unlock these.
Keep up the good work!

Too slow to progress

I loved the look of this as it reminded me of an old PC favourite, Anno 1602. But this is painfully slow — wait for immigrants, wait for upgrades, wait for production to complete goals. It has some excellent ideas - like being able to halve the cost of technology by learning from friends - but I’ve tried it for a few days and the game is just not interesting enough.
