Simpl - a Simulated Patient Monitor where you can practice medical simulation training anywhere.
This app allows you to simulate a patient's vital signs on your tablet or phone without using expensive manniquins.
Connect two or more devices together to run a simulation scenario. Use one device to control the vital signs and the other device as a monitor.
Great learning tool for use in resuscitation scenarios and courses such as the Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Advanced Trauma and Life Support (ATLS) courses.
There's no need to be on the same Wi-Fi network, devices can be connected together as long as both are connected to the internet. Each simulated scenario you create generates a unique device code so that you can connect multiple devices to join the simulation.

Simple to set up and use
I was introduced to this app whilst working as part of the nightingale London faculty and used the free app. I thought it would be a bit expensive to purchase but was very pleasantly surprised and have now purchased it. It is very easy to use and the ability to connect to another device to remotely control the simulation makes it even easier to use during a simulation scenario. The only reason that I didn’t give 5 stars is because I would have liked a CVP trace.
Great
Free version works okay but only allowed 10 changes. Paid version is great. Only thing is on iPad mini in the vitals tab the slide bar for the numbers is obscured by the list from the left making it quite annoying. Works fine on phone. Can this be fixed?
Easy to use and great for virtual learning
We used this as our trainees were unable to attend in person simulation training. It made the session engaging and the app was great for responsive patient management.
There are somethings I’d love on our ‘to add’ wish list; CVP, NIBP at temperamental, temperature on screen and a set respiratory rate reflecting that of a neurologically dead patient (no variance).
