SimpleCal is the easiest calendar app on the App Store.
Sync your schedule across platforms and devices through iCloud or Google calendar.
- Sync
All the events on your current calendar are transferable from another calendars via iCloud or Google calendar.
(The connection uses the calendar account registered in the Settings app)
- Widget
Your recent events can be displayed on a widget to grasp what to do quickly.
- Weather
The weather forecast for the specified area is displayed on the calendar(up to one week ahead)
- Reminders
You won't miss your important events via SimpleCal's reminder.
The reminders can be repeated daily, weekly, monthly and yearly.
- Customizable interface
Each event and calendar can have different colors, which makes you easily recognize your schedule.
The color theme is also customizable. You can find your favorite theme for sure.
- Simple design
You can add or edit an event only with a few steps.
Do you have some routine in your life? Then, try SimpleCal! You can create a new event just by dragging a past event.
- Dark Mode
Supports dark mode.
- Data Backup
Saves event data to an external server such as iCloud Calendar or Google Calendar.
(The app does not have its own calendar and does not save to the device's local area.)
In the unlikely event that your iPhone is damaged, you can simply log in to your original calendar account to load your previous event data.

Visibility is great
See most entries at a glance and easy scrolling to next month As there is only space to show 3 items per day and I sometimes have more, an improvement could be a + symbol on that clear line to make me Look at full list. Perhaps hide those ‘timed out’ to allow others to show in those circumstances - this part does sound impossible though Nothing new thank you Continues to be the ‘at a glance’ calendar I like to use I’ll try new update and review after using thank you I’ve shown this app to other people and they are delighted to use it - first class
Glad to see the update of Apple calendar now doesn’t affect Siri reading my entries to me if I’m busy with something else.
Evaluation
I’ve been using this app for a couple of weeks and it seems very good. I will use it for a few more before deciding and paying for it. The ads are not intrusive but I would want pay the developer for their work. It is easy to use but may not be comprehensive enough for some, but for the majority of us it is enough. I’ve have used calendar apps since palm pilots and have had subscriptions to well known apps but they often become too bloated/complicated, trying to do everything. Best calendar app🤩
I’ve been using this app for almost a year and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a calendar that is easy to use, clear and reliable. Far better than the calendar that is already installed on iPhone.
We use it as a family to put in appointments, important school events, individual social events and general reminders and it has managed to keep us all in the loop. We all have our own colour to clearly see what we need to know for our own appointments as well as each other’s.
