Article links don’t work

Like the app and it’s the only one I’ve found that offers a quick and tidy presentation of various analysis.
As long as it’s kept up to date and sources are credible this is incredibly useful.
Couple of suggestions as I couldn’t see a way of providing feedback in the app.
The links to articles don’t open (using iphone and safari at least) possibly an errpor in the url link as the articles themselves do exist on the website.
Also you can rarely read the text on top of the images they pick to represent the stock. Need to rethink the font used.

limited functions

I downloaded the app as I was having problems using the desktop site on my ipad. Sadly the app (on iphone/ipad) has even less functionality. It’s fine for searching stocks, viewing info, and I can usually read the articles. The biggest problem for me is managing portolios. The desktop site uses right-clicks to access options - which doesn’t work for touch screen/iOs. That makes it difficult to navigate, and it often fails to save changes. You can’t manage portfolios via the app, even though it’s pitched that you can. I’ve given feedback a couple of times, but the response has been that’s just the way it is. The financial info service itself is fine, although they’ve just announced a big hike in prices, with pricing largely built around being able to manage portfolios. They really need to fix this.

Solid fundamental analysis

Well worth £200/yr for people who invest regularly. It doesn’t support Trading 212, which is probably the best broker available in the UK, but entering your holdings by hand is pretty painless.

The strong point of this app is the solid in-depth fundamental analysis, which can be a little overwhelming when starting out. The weekly newsletters are more-or-less junk. It should be noted that the app has a lag of 24h, which I honestly don’t mind, as I only invest long-term.

Looking at historical stock price and investing based on hype/trends is a way to either get rich fast, or lose a lot of money very quickly. Unless you’re serious about long-term investments with a minimum starting capital of £20k, this app isn’t worth your money. However, for the serious investors, it is indispensable, as there is no real alternative. I have used the app over several years, and more than doubled my capital over 3-4 years. Often, I spend hours on the app, diversifying my portfolio and adjusting various weights.

Investing is simple, and everyone who has the means to invest should invest.
