Description

SiteSucker is a Macintosh application that automatically downloads Web sites from the Internet. It does this by asynchronously copying the site's webpages, images, PDFs, style sheets, and other files to your local hard drive, duplicating the site's directory structure.

SiteSucker can be used to make local copies of Web sites. By default, SiteSucker "localizes" the files it downloads, allowing you to browse a site offline, but it can also download sites without modification.

Fine

It's hard to judge an app when there are negative reviews as well as enthusiastic. I saw the app had been going at least 4 years, and the developer has been making micro version adjustments regularly (a good sign). So decided £4.49 was worth a pop. Not dissappointed, although the interface is a little old-skool; it was easy enough to put the url in and it picked up nearly the whole site perfectly. Yes some of the menus acted slightly differently, but basically all the text, formatting and images were intact. And crucially the links around the site itself worked.

Excellent app

I have used this for many years now, dating before the Mac App Store was a thing.

I have used it for multiple different websites and usage cases. Definitely one to remember and I can guarantee I'll keep using it in the future.

Did what I wanted, and did it well!

Needed to get a copy of a website design back on to my Macbook Air so I could update it.

The site quickly downloaded in seconds, and left me with all the html and images I needed to redesign the site.
