Sketchar: AR Drawing App 12+

Good!

This app is good when you want you go on the lesson but to draw but if you haven’t subscribed for any reason like don’t want to don’t have the money then when you want to draw one of you own pictures with you friends it’s grate for the first five minutes but then it comes out with “subscribe now!”and three different amounts or the cross at the top,if you press the x then it goes back on your drawing with now picture to trace then it comes out so when you go back in to draw it it’s in a different place so it doesn’t match up and then it’s just a wast of paper! But over all it’s an amazing app!

Shows potential

I love the idea, I like the steps that is provided and it could really help out people are introduced to art. I’ve done art for a while but landscapes and architecture was one of the hardest and even on one picture, I showed me a technique I could use, especially on perspective. However there is awfully a lot that is all in Pro, not many is particularly free at the moment. I understand that Pro and Ads provide the developers the money but there is only one thing that is actually free on the three chosen things I wanted to look more into. I did choose that I was ok at art so maybe for beginners, there is more free stuff for them which is great. Unless I didn’t look deep enough into this then my apologies but it does show potential.

Hello! Thank you for this detailed review. All the main features are available for free. For example, the category of Animals. In Lessons, there are such available sketches as a unicorn, roses, and a kitten. In the Library section, there are themes Molang, Grinch, Animals, and Lettering, they are all free. There is also a subsection of Artists, with works by several artists. Try them out!

Not great ... can’t and won’t commit to purchase

A shame really, I tried making a rig with a pint glass but I couldn’t zoom out of the camera or make use of iPhone 12 wide angle view, which meant that I had to hold the phone rather than have it rigged up, as it wasn’t high enough.

Also, I went with sketch ar because it allows you to try before making a purchase... this is completely foiled when you chose a photo, start drawing, only to have ads pop up mid stroke. When you cancel out of the advert, app takes you to Home Screen where you have to start again inputting picture and getting the position right

sadly, I couldn’t trial the app enough to decide on whether or not to purchase... think I’ll bite the bullet for Davinci eye one time payment instead as my experience for this app has left a sour taste.
