Just à couple tweeks, otherwise fab..!
I've used this app all winter - before, during and after - and it's been a great help. My first port of call for planning a trip.. But would suggest a couple of improvements... 1) PLEASE extend the 'nearby' area to 500km!! - as 300km cuts half the Pyrenees off for me :( 1000kms would be handy while you're at it?! 2) Powder alerts are great, but would be even better if you could get them for 'nearby' resorts too, not just your favorites. Overall, would highly recommend this app :)
Needs work on bugs to make it great
The newer versions seem to have improved features but riddled with bugs, but overall it's a great idea for an app and when it works great.
Main problems are loading times, which become frustrating and for an example, I was just checking a ski resorts latest webcams, the thumbnail shows the latest update for this morning, but I click the thumbnail to expand and go to that webcam and it shows the last update from yesterday not the latest that is shown in the thumbnail. Just little things that are stopping this app being great, keep working, it's worth the effort, and will get there hopefully!
I found this app very helpful, it accurately recorded the snow fall we experienced this season and as someone else said it definitely builds up excitement. I didn't have a problem with piste maps (Morzine/Les Gets) - the resolution was good! The tweeting part is particularly good for updates from people at your resort. Recommended.
