Description

Become a pilot in 1940's europe ! Fly the Spitfire, Bf 109, Ju 87 in a realistic simulation.

Sky On Fire : 1940 is an indie WW2 flight sim !

The game takes place in the early years of the war , from the battle for France to the battle of Britain. 4 nations will be playable : Germany, France, England, and Italy. You can fly different aircraft , including legends such as the Spitfire, Hurricane, B.P. Defiant, Bf 109, Bf 110 Ju 87 , Ju 88 or He 111.

Multicrew makes it possible to control each individual crewmember in your aircraft, you can even let the AI pilot and light up ennemies on your 6 with a rear gun !

Use the mission editor to create your own scenarios, and with a free camera and photo mode, you will be able to save your best pics.

Engage in dogfights with a challenging AI, thanks to the mission editor, you can decide to fight either in a 1v1 or in a huge battle with dozens of airplanes.

I am the only person working on it. You can check the discord server to be aware of new update and chat a bit with me and a lot of experienced players.

Don't be fooled by the low-poly style , the game uses realistic physics , airfoil based and as close as possible to the reality !
It can be considered as the most realist WW2 flight sim available on mobile.

Amazing potential

Great first release. I’ve read the description and understand that this game is still in early development. I’m amazed at how many much effort has been put into the physics and flight model (not ideal but I’m sure it’ll be fixed). The spitfire -g engine stall is a sweet feature. Please be aware tho there are some bugs. Sometimes the aircraft don’t detect hits, I can unload my whole belt and the bullets will just fly through the fuselage.
Can’t wait for future updates to this game. Keep up the awesome work devs!

Not amazing but quite addictive!

Not the most sophisticated flight simulator out there, but it’s rather satisfying, nonetheless. My only gripe is that after five minutes or so, all of the control buttons disappear so unless you can remember where they were on the screen, you’re scuppered! If that issue gets addressed, it’s worthy of another star; fingers crossed! **UPDATE** One star deducted as the issue with the disappearing control buttons has not been addressed. If that gets sorted, I will start raving about this simulator….it’s such a shame that the developer seems unresponsive on this.
***ANOTHER UPDATE *** Going back to three stars as I’ve identified where the issue is with disappearing control buttons! On the iPhone, if I drag my finger to look over my shoulder, the buttons vanish, but I can get them back by doing the same again! I would hope that this minor glitch can be corrected, and if so, this gets five stars!***

Developer Response ,

hey, this is a feature you use to disable the UI. You hold the center of the screen to toggle it. If you don't like it you can disable it in the settings -> interface

Fantastic little flight sim

The core gameplay of learning to fly and dogfight is virtually perfect and needs no refinement. The pre-made missions are a lot of fun and help the player learn how to play properly and engage with different aircraft. The mission creator is fun but limited in its scope, the addition of being able to save mission templates would rectify the annoying issue of not being able to edit a mission template after creating it. Additionally the ability to give squadrons commands would far improve the sandbox of the mission creator ie: at (x) climb to 2000m or once arrived at (x) drop bombs etc.

Overall a fantastic game and I can’t wait to see where the devs will take it.
