Sleepio has helped me

I have had insomnia for decades. I rarely had a problem with going to sleep but woke too early. I always felt that cognitive behavioural therapy would help me but have never had the opportunity to use it before. The professor is gentle and encouraging and warns you how hard the sleep restriction is. Weeks three and four are really hard and I did want to give up. I persevered as I felt this was my last chance of improving my sleep and I now have managed 85-90% sleep efficiency on most nights. I would recommend this program but it does take discipline and determination. The only area where I changed the rules slightly was with the quarter of an hour rule. I adapted this by about ten minutes as for me 15 minutes was too short a time to get back to sleep. I would also like to add that when I had a technical problem I had a helpful reply very quickly. I feel my sleep is greatly improved and continue to practice what I have learnt as I don’t want to backslide. I would really recommend Sleepio. It is changing my life.

Helped me find the real source of the problem

Came to this after seeing it on a documentary. Works best when used in conjunction with the online course. By committing to the actions suggested by the Prof I was, within three weeks, sleeping through the night for the first time in years. Still tired all the time, I finally went to the doctor and discovered the real cause. Shouldn't have waited so long.

The app and course have helped me develop better sleeping patterns and attitudes, and created the space for me to see what's really happening for me health wise.

If you've got into bad habits with regards bed and getting up times, relaxing, and calming the mind, Sleepio will help a lot.

Sleepio programme has given me my life back

I had been suffering from lack of sleep for many many years.
I was addicted to Sleeping tablets which culminated in them having very little effect. If I had more than 2 hours total sleep I considered it to be a good night. My physical health, my mental health, my memory and my marriage was suffering. I even contemplated suicide. I thought I was going mad.
Then I saw a Channel 5 Tv programme about insomnia. I realised I could get help from experts. I joined the Sleepio Programme in July with no expectations of success for me but I stuck at it, I now average at least a total 7+ hours sleep per night with no drugs.
I look better, feel better and my memory is improving. No longer have thoughts of suicide or fears of divorce.
Sleepio works for me. The community is so supportive. No drugs. It is tough but it works.
Negative - why is it not available on the NHS in the UK. It has to be more cost effective as no funding for drugs or G.P time.
Thank you Sleepio team. I thank God every day.
