Sloth - Task Manager 4+

30/30 replacement at last!

I used to use an app called 30/30 and it was exactly what I needed. Could have been slightly better by synchronising with things like Trello or Todoist, but you can’t have everything. Just the facility to estimate time and automatically calculate when all your chores would be done and then have a countdown was utterly invaluable to me.

I was gutted when the support ended and it stopped working. Astonishingly there was nothing else like it available as far as I could find.

I was at the point where I was seriously considering making another bloody App myself, when I found this one on the Internet.

At first, I didn’t find it very intuitive and wasn’t so keen, but with a bit of practice I became a fan.

It still lacks the capacity to synchronise with things like Trello and other productivity apps – that is something that would be really helpful and something that I would pay for - but it does do the basics like 30/30 did and for that I am really grateful :-)

Apart from synchronisation, the other thing I would prefer would be if it was possible to see the countdown in terms of time overall all the time, rather than have to pull down the screen in order to view it – but this is still a very useful app and I highly recommend it.

Just what I was looking for

I’ve been looking for an app like this for ages. It does everything I wanted it to do. Icing on the cake would be to be able to set a start date/time and to ‘fix’ immovable tasks but otherwise great! Much better than pomodoro for planning a day and motivation to get things done.

Last App Standing

Since I got this app I've deleted them all; Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, And yes, even Angry Birds.

My point simply being that this app has become rather integral to my day to day life and has proven it usefulness enough to survive several mass deletions.

So in short 5/5 👍
