Careful !!!!!! THIS IS NOT OFFICIAL ALEXA APP
I'm a bit behind when it comes to tech stuff and I did not think to read the reviews first . This app has asked for money for lifetime subscription which I naively paid . It wasn't until after I paid and I couldn't set my new Alexa up that I realised I had clicked on a different app to the official one . So I tried emailing the email address it gave to contact them but the email didn't exist . I now realise I've been scammed for the lifetime subscription. After I connected with the right app I have been given a months subscription for a free trial then it's a monthly subscription which can cancel at anytime. I'm now worried as I had to give my bank details over and I have been scammed before. Reading the reviews already submitted it seems I'm not the only person to have fallen for mistaking this app for the genuine one .
Disappointed to say the least
My Echo arrived today, downloaded the app as instructed and it does nothing. Loads of annoying ads. Hasn’t helped in the slightest at setting the thing up. And yes it’s plugged in to the electricity.
