Smart Closet - Your Stylist 17+

I’ve been using this app to create outfits for myself and I love it. It takes a while to upload all your pictures but once you’ve done that it’s really great to plan outfits or have the app give you random options (which has helped me create great looks that I’d never thought of before with items I already have).

However, it’s useless if you want to see other peoples clothes and get inspiration. You’re given a dashboard that (if you aren’t following anyone) is just stuffed with random users outfits. If you want to find people you know you have to input some weird ID number. Most importantly, you can’t search for outfits by keyword, it would be great if you could search for terms based on style (e.g.“androgynous”, “pastel”, “autumnal”) but there just isn’t a search function that works for that. I’d really love to be able to seek out specific styles instead of just seeing the styles I’m being shown on my dashboard (all of which are not my taste).

Overall, great app but I’d love to be able to browse more, and be able to refine the content I’m seeing by style.

Love this app so far it’s tedious adding everything to start with but so worth it afterwards. I really like the random look tool as it’s already suggested things I would have never thought of. Its one of the main reasons I got the app. my only gripe with it is that i can’t get it to not include items that are out of season. Somebody point me in the right direction if I’m being silly but.....

It’s basically summer and it’s suggesting puffer jackets and items that I don’t want to wear (items that I’ve put in storage and I’ve put in the app to keep track of not because I want to wear them) as a random look. I’ve already told the app to hide items that are out of season so why is it showing them. 75% of the 100 looks they suggest to you end up being useless for that reason.

It works well and it seems easy to use once you get things set up. I like the clean user interface. I personally don’t use the calendar feature, but it’s nice to have. Lots of room for improvement, like no ability to add tags, and more support for UK shops (and currency). My biggest problem is that I’ve paid for one month to be able to sync with the web app, so that I could add items from my laptop, but when I go to use the app it asks me to log in with Google or something else.

On the iPhone/iPad I had logged in with my Apple ID, which wasn’t an option on the web app, making the “upgrade” worthless. I couldn’t even switch to login from my Google on the iPhone/iPad to then be able to use the web app. This is a HUGE flaw that should be disclosed in the description. It was money completely wasted. I emailed the developer but still have gotten no response, so I feel a bit scammed.
