Smartfrog Camera 4+

Disappointed

Got two and had big hopes....the images are crystal clear when they work! However, from opening the box....they have been trouble! It's not possible to view without recording and often the recording intermittently drops out without automatically resetting! Therefore you can end up with hours of no recording or black spots which just so happen to be when you need them to be recording the most! On top of that sometimes you have great difficulty to get them recording again so I fail to see them as fit for purpose! I've had one replaced which was immediate but it still does the same thing....drops out and hard to reconnect! Very disappointed! Update....after some initial issues with restart and not automatically recording I have over the last few months seen a massive improvement....not had to restart the record feature in over a month! Therefore I'm giving it 4 stars....would be five if the night vision was better....hopefully this will be worked on! 11th September final update...awesome recording now with no drop outs for over two months....very clear recording during the day but night vision still need improving keep up the good work!

Great quality cameras

I got the cameras today and let's just say they took awhile to set up, a lot longer then the five minutes it said. Wasn't able to set the cameras up using the iPad app, as wouldn't allow me, so had to use my phone. Now all works ok. Great picture quality. Slightly annoying that I can only see live feed when it's recording, and not when it's not recording. Is there a way to see the live feed without it always recording? The picture quality on the cameras is outstanding and really good. Originally brought one for when my special needs daughter is up, and needs assistance, then decided would get another two for security. Can't do anything with the clips it's recorded as you need a desktop and I only have phone and tablet. Would be great if they changed that. I am very pleased with the cameras, would be great though if you could see the live feed though without constantly having to record it all.

I started off with just one of these cameras, I needed a 24/7 recording solution for my car repair garage so decided to give these low risk and very reasonably priced smartfrog cameras a go. They did not disappoint and now Four weeks later and I have 3 set up constantly recording all areas of my workshop and even taking advantage of the upgraded 30 day cloud storage solution. It took me longer to decide where to place the cameras than it did to set them up, it literally did take me 5 minutes each to connect them fully. Being able to view the 24/7 recording on my smartphone would be a beneficial upgrade but even more so would be an outdoor camera??????? Come on guys I want to give you more of my money for this brilliant product sort it out so I can order one.
