Everything written to the page is captured: Notation, key and time signatures, lyrics, text, chord symbols, guitar fret diagrams, articulations, dynamics, tempo markings, triplets, spacing and pagination. In just seconds, your score is converted and ready to open in your selected application.

Finale, Sibelius, Dorico and SmartScore® users:
Simply choose your application shown in the output screen. Your application will open and display your entire score as if you just composed it yourself !

Shockingly Bad

Bought this app, tried it out on a simple score. Terrible results that will take longer to correct and check than typing the whole thing in from scratch.
And the option to transfer to my music apps didn’t work either.

Developer Response ,

Something is wrong with the scan(s) you were working with. Please send the PDF file to We will get right back to you with an explanation and filx. Music-to-XML works very well well under normal circumstances. In those cases where it doesn't, it is almost always due to the way the original images was scanned in. The most common faults we see in scanning are:
- Too low a resolution (some scanners default to 72 dpi). 300-400 dpi is expected.
- Color (RGB) scans distort image. Scan in GREYSCALE.
- Dithered scans. Never select "Halftone" as an option.
- Sloppy scanning: Skewed pages, light leaks, image out of range of scanner bar

Once you understand and fix the problem, you will have terrific results.
