Smiles Application problem
The updated Smiles application keeps on shutting itself after uploading, hence not able to use. Registered complaint with Etisalat who have not able to fix the problem for few days
Rubbish app. Rubbish company. Rubbish voucher process
You think you have points you can redeem? Go through the fiasco of downloading and registering the app and off you go... redeem points for a voucher and send as gift to a friend that the outlet does not accept. It doesn’t accept the original voucher either.
Now you need help? There is an online chat which is equally useless. Give over all your personal details and explain the problem a few times and at the end of half an hour of mostly waiting they log a “complaint” and someone will call you back in 5 days.
Update a week later: the voucher gets cancelled and the points credited. Buy voucher again. Barcode looks different and might work. “Send as gift”. That person cannot redeem the voucher and is asked to present the app on the originator’s phone... surely that can’t be right? But when I let my friend borrow my phone they could finally use the voucher.
The whole experience end to end was appalling.
Worst app for food orders
Placed a food order on the Smiles app. After waiting almost 2 hours for my delivery I started with a live chat where they told me that they spoke to the restaurant and they confirmed that the driver is on his way and will arrive soon.
I then decided to phone the restaurant directly to find out what is going to which they responded that their branch near my area is permanently closed and they can’t process my order from the Smiles app.
So why did the person from the Live Chat lied to me, saying that the driver is on his way according to the restaurant, if never even processed my order??
Going to bed hungry tonight and will have to wait another 30 days for my refund…
Stop listening restaurant branches on your platform if they aren’t even open anymore!
