Description
Type SMS messages on your Mac computer and send them via your iPhone.
This iPhone client application requires Mac version of SMS sender, which can be downloaded from the App Store. Your iPhone and the Mac computer must be on the same network.
Other features of SMS client and SMS sender:
- auto connecting to iPhone SMS client
- reading recipients directly from Apple Contacts
- sending messages to an individual recipient or to a group
- import a group from a csv file
- creating message templates
- history of sending
- recent recipients list
Sending the SMS message must be confirmed on the iPhone due to security reasons - this confirmation is a feature of the Apple developing environment, in which the "SMS client" application is written. It is not possible to send a message without such a confirmation.
!!! Important connection information !!!
Both your Mac and your iPhone must be on the same Wi-Fi network.
SMS sender and SMS client use a standard Apple Bonjour service for discovering devices on the network, applications use an arbitrary port number between 49152 and 65535 (as any other third-party application).
If SMS sender is not able to find your iPhone on the network, it seems that ports 49152-65535 are blocked in your computer or in the router. Then, restart the router, the computer and relaunch the application on your iPhone.

Ratings and Reviews
Disappointed with overall use of this app.
Like others have said the app itself works ok at doing a long winded way of sending a text message, for me thou i could live with the having to log the iphone app on, and then connect to wifi, and then open the app on my mac, BUT i own a iphone 4, and being a multitasking phone that can run apps in the back ground i really did not exspect to switch to a new app on my iphone and lose the connect every time.
Basicly its only works when you keep this app open on both your phone and mac at the same time, which is really little use to anyone nowadays. You can't even let the phone goto lock screen either which means your phone has to be active all the time you want to use this app, making it a real pain to repeat the connecting of wifi every time you want to really use it.
Please can you at least allow this to stay active in the background as an option for users so it will mean we can at least save some time connecting.
Awesome... Here
I can type a very long txt on my Mac in a matter of seconds, whereas on my iPhone's slightly smaller on-screen keyboard it can sometimes take a while, and with auto correction on it can be very frustrating when you look back and your text reads "i lube you" because your fat finger hit a wrong key.
I read the bad reviews but nobody mentioned the above advantage that this app offers so I thought I'd try it out.
It connected fine first time & I altered the preferences to auto connect to wifi & to my Mac when I open the app in future so whenever I wanna use it, it's a single tap away.
> I noticed some people had problems connecting... If you hit connect on the iPhone app, the Mac app responds & pairs automatically.
I can understand why people have said it's not worth the money, because if you're one of those people who sends short messages along the lines of "Ok" it's clearly never going to be of any benefit to you. But if you're like me & prefer to txt than call & send long messages, it could save you a lot of time! I text mostly when I'm at home too because I'm usually so busy at work that it's impossible to even check my phone for messages so it's ideal for me :D
So as the saying goes: "Time is money." So buying this app could prove to be a worth-while investment.
And having to tap the 'Send' button on your phone screen really isn't all that difficult!
good idea, but not a great one
having to hit send from your iphone defeats the purpose of this app. I thought i was buying something that gave me the ability to have my phone anywhere in the house and send sms' from my mac - i was wrong.
It has great potential, but unfortunately this fails.
If you could send remotely without having to hit send on the iphone, aslo something that imported your message folders - I'd buy that. Develop your product fully please.
