Snooker Stars 12+

This is a great game ,however it has been Let down badly by the terrible rules of play ! For example You get a free ball and you can then snooker your opponent behind the selected free ball? Another example there is a Pink and black left on the table and You need one snooker , your opponent pots the pink and goes in
Off but it’s game over and you loose when really you could win as the pink would be re-spotted and you get six points for the foul etc , stupid rules have spoilt such a good game ! Also the game chat is terrible , no live chat options and the chat options available to send are pathetic, yes there maybe young people playing the game
But you could put other Chat words in the game for a bit more fun ,obviously no inappropriate words! Anyway rant over

Potentially a good game but frustrating when it comes up ‘connecting’ often either for myself or opponent. Number of games I’ve ‘lost’ through it dropping is ridiculous, and it’s not my connection because I’ve run tests in parallel and there was no loss of internet - just connection to the game. Update - I’ve deleted it now cause had accrued lots of tokens for them to be lost in games I’m winning by a mile, including finishing a break when I’ve already won because it disconnects even though my connection is 100% and the poor opponent gets the tokens. Waste of time as if you can’t trust it, it’s not worth it. Other things to note - absolutely no moderation of user names, some of which are plain offensive or racist. Chat function (set phrases) should include ‘shut up you moron’ to shut up the idiots who insist on continually using it during the game to try and distract. Physics aren’t close to being right as side in cue ball has no impact on trajectory if the cue ball off the cue as in real life. Rules aren’t right - example if you’re down to the black a d there’s a foul - that should be end of game but is not, and on other colours if there is a foul when potted they should be re-spotted. Apparently game is full of cheats who have downloaded a cheat patch. All in all, cant trust this game to be accurate or fair.

UPDATE 2024. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. I have tried to pursue this game for another year in the hope the developers will address ALL the issues highlighted in the reviews but they clearly do not care about feedback. The maximum I have ever earned in this game is £80,000 and promptly lost 10 games in a row, sometimes… the AI rattling out blatantly easy reds and opponents flooding reds after smashing ‘black level’ cue shots. Do that on a free account and it guarantees you foul. This game is RIGGED.

The developers have ruined this game by being too greedy. After playing on a free account for around 5 years I have never been able to earn over £50k and I convinced that the game’s Ai is set up to deliberately slaughter a player who is earning too much money with a a free account. Also I have got to a point now, where it is now so expensive to upgrade my cue I can’t afford any of the upgrades. So the game is now really diminishing in its appeal. I think £8.99 is grossly overpriced for a basic game like snooker. That’s the cost of Rome Total War or a major title that cost 10’s of £millions to develop. As for the cost of energy or cash it’s gross to charge what they are.
