Great browser for taking control of your internet experience. Love that I can default disable JavaScript and only enable if/when I want.

Best adblocker you can find. Better than any extension or additional app.

Tldr: Good browser. Amazing ad blocker. You'll never be interrupted or have an unwanted tab opened again. Just give it a chance.

Good solid browser. Nothing ground breaking. BUT the add blocker and tracker blocking is the best you will find anywhere. I've added all the adblockers in the app store to safari and you need at least 2 of the very best of them running at the same time to get almost the same effect as snowhaze. I say almost because even with 2 you will still occasionally get a new tab opened when attempting to watch a video as it hid an ad over the play button or viewing box etc.

With Snowhaze tho I never have that problem. I never get taken to a different site or have a popup that I need to close. And none of the websites refuse to run or have any problems with it. It's like they know they can't argue with it so just don't even try, they just accept that this is the way things are.

The settings and customisation for the security is quite staggering and it could come across as overwhelming to some people. But the developers have given a brief and simple explanation of what every option does. So you will actually learn alot just by going through the settings and configuring them to your needs. And everything is as simple as allow, don't allow, never or always. And you selection is colour coded from green, yellow or red to indicate how secure you are, meaning there is no confusion.

I use this browser almost exclusively to watch videos and gone are the days that the video will play after the add or that I will randomly be interrupted while watching.

To begin with however, the settings were too secure to allow videos to play as the java script to start the browser player was being blocked. One quick change in the settings however, changing my security indicator on a single item from green to yellow, while keeping everything else still green, and videos have played flawlessly since.

For those interested. It was settings, JavaScript, allow JavaScript. And done. I left everything else as default and even increased the security on a few and have had zero problems.

Not only videos but all those annoying advertisements, slow loading boxes, trackers, social tabs and 100 other things that bloat and slow down almost every website are gone and as a result the pages load much faster than before because there is simply less data to download and to be loaded on the screen.

In short all the promises that the 100 or so adblockers in the app store make, but can't quite fully deliver (some get very close but never quite all the way) are actually delivered here. Because it's all built into the browser rather than being put on over the top, like a sticky plaster or band-aid.

If I have any negatives to say it is simply that it's not quite as pretty and intuitive as some browsers out there. Don't get me wrong you won't need to learn to use a new browser again or anything. It just doesn't have a thousand social or extra tabs and functions that some people might like to use occasionally but that again is another way that it keeps ads and trackers away in the first place.

And it doesn't seem to update very often. I've been using it for over a year and I think its been uodated maybe 3 or 4 times. However the tracker list and add list my be being continuously updated as nothing has ever gotten through. Unless it's actually stopping them rather than blocking them, like a regular add blocker would, so maybe it doesn't need to be updated as regularly as other extensions need to be. I don't know.

I just know that if any other more well-known browser such as edge, chrome or opera had this built in add blocking, then everyone would be using it. I know opera does have their own build in add blocking and it's good. But this is on the next level above that.

So well done snowhaze. Thank you for saving me who knows how many hours in the last year of annoying and intrusive advertisements. I hope this continues to be updated word of mouth spreads and you get the credit you deserve. If you want it to happen tho for the main stream you are probably going to have to try and make yourself just a little prettier so more people will give you a try and then appreciate you for what you have to offer afterwards.

And for anyone that has actually managed to read this far. Well done. And you don't need to even make it your new complete browser. You can just use it for a handful of ad heavy websites that you regularly visit just to test it out. I'll guarantee you that will get less ads and save yourself some time .

Feezes

This is a great browser for privacy. My only problem with it is that it freezes for seconds at a time. I’ve no idea what it might be doing when it becomes unresponsive.

Update: when are you going to fix this freezing issue? It can freeze for minutes. I’m on the point of giving up the benefits of this app!
