Social Bicycles (SoBi) provides innovative bike share technology to municipal, university and private programs around the world. Find, reserve, ride, and return bicycles with ease.
Our bikes are GPS enabled and can be rented with your smartphone. You can return bicycles to hub locations or lock them to public bike racks for a small fee.

Brilliant just brilliant
What a brilliant idea this is. It's so easy to pick up a bike at one of the numerous locations and get going. We signed up for the year and now get 60minutes everyday before charges begin, which is plenty of time to bike into town or over to George street to meet a friend for coffee. Customer service is excellent too! Thanks!
Pretty good
This is a very easy app to use when booking and using the bikes. The route map and heath information is also great and east to interface into other health apps. The down side - difficult to remove your card details (iphone) if you are out of area or simply want the safety of removing your card. Had to contact the support team. Also another issue I had was not being able to confirm payment for the exact amount and had to pay a rounded up amount, and now I’m left with a credit balance which although not much would certainly add up if it’s happening to others!
Great in principle, poor in design
Really great idea and app in principle however out of the last 5 times I’ve tried to use the bikes I’ve been unable to 3 of those times due to a fault (screen not working).
You are able to cancel the booking and report the fault however the app isn’t clever enough to remove that bike from being able to be booked again. So if you try to book another bike at the same station you get stuck with the broken bike over and over again - very frustrating.
If this poor design could be fixed it would be an absolutely great idea and brilliant way of getting around the city, unfortunately as it stands it’s totally unreliable.
