Socially is the new way to connect and meet-up with like-minded people nearby who share your interests, then organise 1-2-1 or small group meet-ups (with up to 5 others) to enjoy them!

Set up a game of tennis, cycle ride or run whenever friends aren’t available. Meet others for coffee who’ve gone/going through a similar life experience. Do that evening class with someone when friends aren’t interested. Organise drinks, gigs, gaming sessions, a movie or go virtual for jam sessions, quizzes or wine tastings. Whatever you want to do, whenever you want to do it.

Socially is all about making local social connections that will hopefully evolve in to lasting friendships, founded on the enjoyment of mutual interests.

So, how does it work? It’s as easy as 1-2-3…
1. Browse the feed and view a range of in-person and virtual activities posted by other users. Nothing grab you? Post your own event for others to join.
2. See an event you like? View the host’s profile and that of any other attendees. Want to join? It’s just a single click.
3. If the host accepts your request, you’ll be added to the chat to finalise plans and get to know each other a little before meeting.

IT’S THAT SIMPLE.

You can also search for others based on an interest then connect and arrange something directly via the chat. Build your connections groups and next time you want to do that activity you can simply reach out and see who’s available.

What can you expect?

- No large intimidating groups here where no one has any control over who attends. With Socially, only 1-2-1 or small group (with up to 5 others) activities can be arranged. This makes it much easier for hosts to manage their event, communication amongst attendees is faster/simpler and there’s a much greater opportunity to establish genuine connections this way.
- We love users that are here for the right reasons, therefore we reward active users with trust points. The more you engage across the app e.g. post events, attend events, customise your profile, add your socials, add status posts and verify your email the more points you’ll receive. The more points you receive, the more other users will trust and engage with you.
- We have an in-app calendar so you can keep track of all of your social engagements. We’ll send you useful reminders so you never miss anything and alerts so events never clash.

In-person or Virtual activity?
You can arrange in-person or virtual meet-ups (via your preferred remote platform of choice) – whatever is more comfortable or convenient for you.

Socially is a community built on trust, honesty and respect. We take user safety extremely seriously. Every user must agree to abide by our strict Code of Conduct (both in-app and during a live or virtual activity) before the app can be used. There’s a ZERO TOLERANCE policy should this code not be followed.

No matter your age, gender, sexual orientation, religion, race or technical ability you’ll be warmly welcomed. Onboarding takes minutes and creating/joining activities is simple and straightforward.

We have a dedicated, yet flexible, student pathway so students can decide if they want to receive content/contact from other students only or from anyone (you’ll need your .ac.uk email to access this).

You don’t even need to worry about writing your own profile bio or event descriptions thanks to our amazing, intuitive new AI feature which does all of the hard work for you (it’s also great fun to use!).
