So nearly perfect
After being frustrated once too often by Just Watch, I have been looking for a while for a suitable replacement.
If the developer was able to add the following feature I believe Sofa Time would be surpass Just Watch in every way.
It would be awesome if when looking at lists of what to watch next that you are presented with only the episodes available to watch on your streaming services in your country. As I search through what to watch next I don’t need to be teased with ‘oh if only you lived somewhere else you could be watching this right now’.
Serious plea to the developer, you have a great app here but isn’t reaching for perfection what life is all about.
Useful but free version is terrible
It’s definitely a useful app and I would consider going premium if it weren’t for the fact the free version is so purposefully hobbled to be painful to use. This is most notable in marking things as watched where you cannot simply mark a whole season as watched but instead have to mark each episode as watched individually- not so bad when just starting a show but if you’re midway through season 12 of Blue Bloods it’s a slog. Of course, the developers make sure to tell you you can do this on the paid version at every opportunity via irritating popups. I simply refuse to give people money when they clearly have such distrust of their user base as to disable such simple features. Also, if they need to disable such basic functionality as this to get you to pay it kinda makes you wonder if there’s any real premium functionality worth paying for- after all, if there were then that alone would be enough to make users switch to premium, surely?
Best of the lot
I’ve tried so many of these apps and this one is nearly perfect. Love the integration with Trakt and the interface is great and really enjoyable to use. I think what would make this perfect for me is the ability for the app to suggest shows and movies based on what you’ve watched before and how you’ve rated shows. Appreciate that would take some work on the algorithm.
