You can transfer and save photos and videos you have already taken, and use your smartphone as a remote control for the camera for remote shooting. To tell you the truth I wasn’t expecting it to be this good, it’s got a social media element to it and I’ve already created my profile, created a project on there, and uploaded a photo. This was within the first 5 minutes of me having downloaded it. And it has some very useful features like allowing you to control the camera with it’s manual and auto features from your device, which is always useful. And of course downloading images and video from your camera to your device.It also led me to the discovery of Master Cut (beta) a from SONY, an online cloud Ai video editing system, which has the potential to be awesome.

I’ve used a lot of camera manufacturers’ apps, including Sony’s previous app, and I think this one is right up there with the very best. Ultimately, it makes life easy for me when I want to transfer raw files to my phone or iPad to edit, and has some really useful features (like automatically resuming transfer if interrupted) that mean I can have a workflow that works for me. Transfers are stable and quick, and the layout of the app is intuitive.

I’ve tried several different apps over the years and they have all been frustrating and don’t connect to the camera properly. This is the first one that has worked and actually allows you to control the camera with your phone. Touch screen focus is also a really useful feature. I’m using it with Sony A7RV

With so many negative one star reviews of this ridiculous app, I just can’t understand why all the stops aren’t being pulled to fix this thing. How ignorant and self absorbed can a Company be? I’ve just wasted another hour of my life trying to get this app to work. It connects to my camera and then ……. nothing. No remote control. No image transfer. Nothing except inane prompts for me to do something I’ve already done. After spending the amount of money I have done on Sony products, I’d expect better service than this. I can connect all sorts of devices to my phone. How difficult can it be to connect my expensive, technologically advanced camera? Pathetic!
You can now upload multiple untransferred photos and videos from your camera or smartphone to Creators' Cloud storage. You can also specify upload criteria such as shooting format or rating.
