Finally! 🥳
Long awaited for the app - worth the wait! Well designed and I have all I need in it: news, fixtures and post-COVID ability to purchase tickets if need be 🥳🥳
Okay app with lots of room for improvement
Okay app with some bugs and interesting design choices. Limited in features but probably to be expected for something "MVP".
Pros:
• app seems to perform well – actually seems to be native rather than a browser "wrapper" (barring the 'Shop' section)
• content is good but limited (no descriptions when clicking onto a video, for example)
• in-app chat support is a nice feature
Cons:
• problematic UX – the app onboarding process is pretty poorly designed; the login page is broken and there's no way of backing out of the wizard to select another option
• glitchy behaviour – font changes on scroll, etc
• help section not populated
Other comments (personal opinion):
• UI feels amateurish – wish standard iOS elements would have been used instead of custom iconography and font
• weird tone – the manager-led onboarding process is gimmicky but I'm sure others will like it
• would like to see Picture-in-Picture support added for video content
Will be interesting to see how it performs during an actual game.
Caught in the Russell Martin loop but managed a work around
I was also caught by the perpetual loop now looking at “Russell Martin - online” and the link to log on for me just goes to the app home page to open the App again…But found by logging out of the Southampton FC website and trying to login again. When I clicked on the link to login I entered my details and haypresto. But this should be fixed by the developers.
