Really outdated app, as a default identical and needs a major refresh
Using an iPhone 11 in 2021, you’d think that the app would fit to your device. This app shrinks your screen by making all edges black. It is also really hard to navigate this app, and you cannot pay with Apple wallet, instead you have to type in your card number. Something that would be really helpful would also be to allow for tickets to be added to Apple wallet, and also for the Key Card to be in there also (I know this is possible, it’s the same as debit cards on the underground, and even Nando’s have one). The platform information is also iffy sometimes. Also, this app is exactly the same as Southern’s and Thameslink’s/Great Northern’s. I understand they are all the same company, but do we need the exact same layout as all the other companies? In short, please improve this app Govia.
Seen worse but this needs improvement
The app itself is extremely useful, however there are some things that let it down terribly and could definitely do with being upgraded.
•The twitter updates section: when you click on it, the font jumps up in size until it is so large it fills the screen and you only have two or three words. It’s impossible to see the entirety of the update.
•Train cancellations: Obviously these happen. What would be useful for us as the client and the paying customer, would be to know WHY the train has been cancelled, usually at short notice. It’s extremely irritating to just see something saying cancelled with no explanation.
Those are my two main gripes. If they could be fixed it would vastly improve the app experience and usability.
Highlight number of changes if more than 0
Had so many terrible journeys including 45min detour with my daughter because I didn’t notice you had to change somewhere. Why can’t you just “highlight” that a journey needs a change!? Font is so small you can hardly notice.
Also like everyone here common journey needs to be able to be saved instead of going through the same search every time.
Please put an effort and improve.
