The “Very Old Friends” update is here, and it comes with a new rpg classes system. You can now play as the all-rounder Pioneer, the Mars born, defense-focused Heavy, or Light the alien shooter.
What are these classes for? Well they give you different playstyles, particularly in multiplayer modes. In deathmatch you can take advantage of their unique stats and weapon preferences to outplay your opponents. Each class also has a set of passive bonuses which affect all players in your crew and make it easier to be the ultimate space shooter...

I love this game!
I love the art style, there are micro-transactions but you don’t feel pressured to buy them as (unlike many games) if you have the skills, you don’t need to buy currency to get ahead. I’m really enjoying the game so far and I feel like there is a skill curve to each type of mission. One thing this game would massively benefit from is something similar to a dungeon system where you can group up with friends, tournaments are a fun implementation but something with more replay ability is required. But nevertheless, for a free game, this is outstanding!
Time consumer
Literally been playing for a couple of hours and I'm hooked. Despite the gameplay being quite repetitive as others have clearly pointed out, the game is fun, challenging and a great game to play. I've only completed the first chapter but I'm definitely going to continue to play. It seems everything else is on point, the graphics are cool as f, the little robot that accompanies you into battle is my new best friend😎 There's one thing I would add to the game however if the developers read any of these messages and that would be character customisation (not sure if this is in place already as I'm not that far into the game) but it would be sweet if you could edit your appearance etc and maybe even a multiplayer mode so we can play with friends, that would be awesome.
Due to only playing the game for a short period of time I rated this app 4 stars, but it's definitely got the potential to be a 5 star game.. great work guys👍🏻
Great game but gets repetitive
As said in the title, it is a great freemium game as everything is easily obtainable without purchases, and the gameplay is smooth, easy to control and satisfying. However, since the strategy for EVERY enemy in the game is kite and kill, the game becomes stale rather quickly. The 6 hours that I have spent in game were enjoyable, but I don't think that it will be nearly as fun in the near future. I have no problem with the card/loot box progression as you can farm easy boss levels for weapon cards and complete events every day for anything else. Only criticism aside from the copy and paste progression is that the machine gun is so overpowered it renders everything before it useless. (this also applies to the Tesla Gun at it's respective stage).
TL;DR: Good fun for a few hours, balance issues and gets stale after a few hours.
I would rate the game 7/10 but gave it a 6/10 because of the gameplay getting boring after the first initial hours.
