I use this app to remember Japanese vocab. The app’s really good and it helps me so much in retaining the information!!
The app has an audio input, which is extremely helpful since Japanese heavily relies on pitch accent and if you want to be understood and sound good in Japanese it is good to work on that. So the audio input is good cause I can record how to properly say the word. And it’s all free!!! Unlike quizlet which is a pain sometimes, I can add images to my flash cards for free. Thank you so much for making this app.
Good first impression
I have to say I love the concept of this app, finding a good way to implement spaced repetition can be tough and this app makes it a lot easier, especially with the inclusion of being able to import decks from Anki and Quizlet.
This app is also really usable without premium, yet premium looks affordable and I can see the benefits in buying it.
The reason this is four starts instead of five is due to only being able to study one side of cards. I’m unsure if I just can’t find this feature or if it isn’t implemented, but recalling both the term and definition is quite crucial. Currently, it seems as though you can only study one side of the card. If this was fixed I can easily see myself rating this app five stars, but without it, I am unsure if I will even keep using this or if I’ll just go back to Quizlet.
Edit: There is a way to show the other side of the cards and even create sister cards. This method is a little different than what I’m used to but I think it’s a great idea. Slightly difficult to find personally but I’m glad it’s included.
Crashing
I've been using this app for two weeks and I've made uni notes with it. It was very useful but know it keeps on crashing when I try to access decks, which is extremely annoying as I've put many hours into making these cards and have no way of copying them onto a more stable app. I've deleted the app, logged in and out and the same crash keeps happening. When it's actually working it's very good but clearly, it isn't reliable. Going to have to start from scratch now.
Edit: it appears that it may not be a problem with this app. These issues kinky occur when using a Grammarly keyboard - my bad, great app but could be more compatible.
