SPACEPLAN is an experimental piece of interaction based partly on a total misunderstanding of Stephen Hawking’s A Brief History of Time. Use manual clicks and the passage of time to create and launch potato-based devices and probes from your nondescript satellite orbiting a mysterious planet. Unlock the mysteries of the galaxy or just kill some time in what the astrophysics community is calling the ‘best narrative sci-fi clicker game of all times’.
* Fifteen starchy items to unlock, create, and blast into the vacuum of space.
* Life affirming, silly story that will both captivate and help you kill time.
* Reveal the secrets of five different planets across two different realities.
* Banging soundtrack, as is customary in a narrative sci-fi clicker game.
Ratings and Reviews
And quite good fun, although mine does keep throwing me out of the game when I've just come back in.
Build up power, and spuds, to increase the sun's mass, killing off the other planets in the solar system on the way. There's some real science in here, and some sci-fi, with homage to Prof S Hawking.
A nice little time waster.
Not addictive, but captivating
I got this game just as a time wasting thing for train journeys, but I was instantly drawn in by its storyline based on, in its own words, 'a misunderstanding of Steven Hawking' which made it all the more interesting
And it is such a beautiful game with an intuitive and elegant UI, the music is also wonderful I found I'd open the app just to listen to the music at times
My only complaint is that this game ends at all, give me more!
So first off, the soundtrack is great. The visuals are awesome too, if a bit shaky at times. The actual experience is wonderful, very entertaining. The ending is great, and the clicker style really adds to the game’s ability to be picked up at any time and enjoyed just as much as something a lot more complicated. Quirky, fun and satisfying, I would recommend this to anyone. £2.99 is well worth the 46min total of gameplay I got from it.
