FAQ
Is Spark the best email app for managing multiple accounts?
Spark brings Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, Yahoo, and any IMAP account into one unified inbox, so you can manage every email in one place instead of switching between apps.
How is Spark different from Apple Mail and Gmail?
Spark helps you focus on what matters, not just read email. It automatically prioritizes messages from real people, keeps newsletters out of the way, and can summarize, draft, and follow up so less falls through the cracks.
How does Spark help with email overload?
Spark surfaces important messages first, lets you snooze emails until you're ready, and helps you reach Inbox Zero without the grind. Higher plans flag what needs attention so nothing gets missed.
Does Spark have AI features?
Yes. Spark uses AI to write faster, reply clearly, and summarize threads. On Plus, AI helps you make better inbox decisions. On Pro, it acts on your behalf — drafting, organizing, and following up.
Is Spark good for team collaboration?
Yes. Teams can share drafts, comment privately, assign messages, and manage shared inboxes — no forwarding chains. Collaboration is available on Pro.
Can I schedule emails to send later?
Yes. Schedule any email to send at the right time, or snooze incoming messages to return when you're ready.
Is Spark free?
Yes. Spark is free to download and use. Spark Plus is for professionals who want a more focused inbox; Spark Pro is for those who need Spark to handle follow-through so nothing gets missed.
Is Spark available on Mac, iPhone, and iPad?
Yes. Spark works on iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and Android, and stays in sync across all your devices.

If you ever want to send emails to groups you should not download the so called upgrade to this version. Interaction with other apps has been lost as has the ability to sent an email to a contact group. Sadly the developers seem to be obsessed by AI at the expense of the efficiency of the basic email app. I regret paying an annual subscription for an app that no longer does what it did before the so called upgrade. This is a pity, because the customer service reps are friendly and informative, but seemingly unable to influence the developers. If the issue were to be addressed I would have give the app a four star rating.Readdle's reply to this review was that they had prioritized AI to support email efficiency. They do not explain why, in doing so they felt it necessary to remove other aspects of email efficiency that existed in the free version. Furthermore in my correspondence there have been assurances that these features will be restored, but they are unable to say when, even though I have asked if it is likely to be before my next annual payment is due.

Hello Hermione! Thank you for your feedback. We have prioritized the release of the Spark + AI feature due to its significant impact on email writing efficiency. While we recognize the importance of other features such as Integrations and the ability to send an email to a contact group, we are actively working to deliver them to our users. Rest assured, we are dedicated to providing the features that our users know and love, and they remain a top priority for us. Hope you`ll enjoy Spark again once we accomplish feature parity. Elmira
Stopped working, despite having paid for the subscription

Our business has been using Spark principally for its user interface, which is one of the best that I have seen on an iOS email client. However, a pretty user interface can only take you so far - there have been a number of issues during the time we have used it, culminating in the last 24 hours were we have been logged out and unable to re-authenticate the email despite using the exact same settings that we always use. The being logged out of Spark issue has happened numerous times in past and discovered the that it occurs when the iOS device was running out of memory (although this still should not happen!). This time, we have none of the devices short of memory and issue persists. The trouble is getting a reply from their support team, it takes forever, sometimes weeks before we get a response (some of the team are based in Ukraine and delays understandable however this issue has been going on for years). Other problems included not being able to block emails (a sort of fix has been provided in the paid for version that has recently been released) as well as lack of auto-reply, both of which are key features for a business user. Emails can also take a long time to receive/send through the app which is also frustrating. So after having recently “upgraded” to the paid for service, we are currently unable to use the app while we wait the inevitable long delay till someone eventually gets back to us. Again, as a business user this is unacceptable.

Great initially. But just too slow!

When I started using Spark I thought it was great. Refreshing and enjoyable user experience. Unfortunately I have now binned this app off as for me, as a heavy email user, the app has just become borderline unusable. Emails are slow to arrive, and ridiculously slow to load. I simply don't have the time or patience to wait 10 mins to read an email. The desktop app also has this really annoying thing where it wants to sync the database right as you need to quite the app, sometimes hindering restart or shut down times. It is also slow to receive and load emails too. So I have also binned the desktop app off as well. I reached out to the Readle team via email to ask them to fix the issues, as I really do like the interface and ideally I would have liked to continue using the app. But I had no response which indicates to me that they are not over bothered in fixing the problems. Updates comes through but they seem more interested in adding new features rather than fixing core issues to make the app actually work in a robust manner. It's just become extremely unproductive to use. I have moved back to Outlook as it exhibits none of the issues above and work flawlessly. Mail also works absolutely fine but I prefer Outlook. At this current point in time I could not recommend this app sadly.
