Shoddy app compared with Apple Visual Voicemail (not available from any NZ provider).
No app badge and no other form of notification when new voicemails arrive.
Appalling transcription – so bad they should just remove it till it's better. From a privacy perspective when transcription is this bad the privacy costs of accessing customers' personal messages are nowhere near balanced out by the near-zero benefit of getting a transcription. Needs a rethink for that reason alone.

HI, Sorry you seem to be experiencing an issue. The App is designed with standard notifications including badge and a standard push notify for a new message, these need to be allowed in permissions, in some cases battery saving and OS settings can disable these also. You are also able to turn on SMS notifications for new messages by calling the Voicemail platform and updating the notifications options. Call 083210 - From the Main menu,
3 personal options, 3 Msg waiting notifications, Reads notification status, Turn on text notifications Press 2. All the transcriptions are created using a machine based transcription engine that in some cases can have errors due to the clarity of speech or background noise, to note, you can turn the transcription feature off entirely in preferences, there are also no privacy issues with this process. The majority of customers see benefit in this by being able to press play and listen, rather than call in, but sorry that this is not working for you - you can reset your notifications as above to go back to the the old way of interacting with voicemail.
