Not bad but could be improved
I find the concept very useful and have managed to be able to improve my language skills whilst making new international friends. However the app does not work particularly well, often once you have sent a long message it will disappear so you have to write it again.. also it runs quite slowly! Another negative is that, as a girl, you have to be careful who you accept to talk to as some people seem to be using this as a tinder alternative which ruins it for those who want to genuinely improve on their skills. I am not sure how Speaky could sort this but it is a major issue for me. Overall it's a good app and just a few tweaks could seriously improve user experience.
Good app for connecting
Good for what it does, I was immediately speaking to people in my target language. Although a small bug is that it crashes when you correct someone, which can be very annoying.
Amazing concept poorly executed
The idea behind this is great as you don't have to go looking for people who speak both your native language and the one you want to learn, however actually using the app the experience isn't so good, yes you can find what the app says but try sending a message! Thats when the real pain starts. In my week of having this i have managed to find people who speak my native and my leaning language in other apps i use daily while i had to do the leg work it wasn't that hard & in that time i had been finding myself sending the same message (to no avail) over and over again using this app. This app would be easy 5* if it wasn't so buggy and had some form of team actually fixing the bugs and maintaining these issues.
