Description

A high quality Speedometer app with the same sophisticated brain inside as our paid version. When you go over a preset speed limit, the large digits change colour from green to red and the device emits a loud sound to alert you! Great for avoiding speeding tickets!

‣ Easy to set and configurable speed limits
Set speed limits with 4 fast and configurable presets. Presets only need a single tap and are the safest way to set the limits!

‣ S.O.S. Flat tyre or worse?
Our speedometer shows your current location and you can share it easily (sms/text, email) with car assistance services, ambulance or friends.

‣ Know your car's limits !
Does your car become sluggish on those steep climbs? Is it possible you got too high in mountains ? Our built-in altimeter will provide you with accurate readings that indicate your height over sea-level.

‣ In a dispute for speeding?
GPS Black box gives you point by point time, speed, location and altitude data for the last 20 minutes of your travel. You can email its data as an excel or csv file. Or you can surely switch it off or reset at any moment.

‣ Need to know where you are?
Integrated map shows your location and a tracking "tail" behind you.

‣ Mileage, cost and fuel calculator.
Find alternative driving routes based on start/end address and see their distance/duration, estimated cost and fuel required. For regular routes, set week days and dates range to see the total estimated cost/fuel, one-way or return. Available for iOS 15 and later.

∙∙ UNIVERSAL APP. Speedometer for iPhone and 3G-iPads. Retina graphics included.

∙∙ 000-999 SPEED AND LIMIT RANGE. MPH, KMH AND KNOTS. Maximum, average speed, distance traveled.

! You can use this app on your iPhone 3GS, 4, or 4S as well as on any iPad with 3G. **App will not work properly on iPods and wifi only iPads as they don't have GPS chip (External GPS module is required).
! Please note that as with all GPS apps, continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Drive safely and avoid paying those speeding fines! Our speedometer is the ideal watchdog companion no matter what journey you are going on!

Full version of the speedometer gives you ability to work in background, GPS tracking, waypoints, trip cost computer, Siri shortcuts for applying speed limits and controlling track recording, 100+ customization options and more. Be sure to check it out in the AppStore!

* A bit of instructions: If speedometer doesn't show you the speed, just be sure to be under the open sky to have GPS signal. Under the open sky, within 5-10 seconds GPS indicator will become green and speedometer will start showing the speed.
** If you wonder why gps speedometer may show 3-5 mph (3-8 kmh) less than a car's speedometer, you can take a look here: http://goo.gl/wtLvT (tomtom's discussion thread).
*** And here is an amazing article http://goo.gl/p5zfMi explaining why GPS might show you 80ft (or -80!) altitude when you are laying on the beach. Don't throw the app or iPhone away just because of that! :) Let us use the article's last sentence here: "Those who use GPS altitude to aid in landing their small plane should have their insurance policies paid up at all times".

Very useful. Shows how inaccurate some cars speedometer reading are. They might think they are doing 70, but GPS shows only 62-63. Helps make maximum progress while still remaining at an acceptable speed. Too many speed cameras, whilst more serious crimes are not pursued by police.

Dual carriageway and motorway speed limits should be raised properly, not left at 1960s levels. Even back then, the single carriageway limit was 70, so we have gone backwards and bored drivers become bad drivers.

Open dual carriageways should be raised to 80mph and Motorways should be raised to 90mph.....except the ultra dangerous smart motorways where continuous hard shoulders should be replaced before raising the limit. They are one of the worst and most foolish inventions, badly designed and badly monitored, combined with the idiocy of continuous crash barrier to the left which makes passenger exit even more difficult.

What about getting the infirm out of the left doors and over the barriers? Hopeless and incredibly dangerous.

Having lived on the Isle of Man and used Autobahns frequently, I would personally like to see no limits once outside built up areas. No chance of that happening, but higher speeds certainly bring more concentrated and better driving. Regular commute 15 years ago, over the mountain road at 150mph. Excellent fun, and what is more on returning to the UK, fuel consumption was no better even though speeds were halved. That would upset the greenies.

2nd review

I did a review of this app few weeks ago .and still love it but I did put about screen being hard to read in sunlight on motorbike ,
Well now I have the answer to make this app PERFECT ,I use the SMART INVERTER ,which is built into the iPhone with a triple click of either home button or side buttons on newer iPhones ..this makes the screen white and letters you can choose the colour ,I have them dark as possible ..this works perfectly put in bright sunlight with iPhone in a Ultimate addons phone holder for my 6s plus..

Smart and very accurate

In my experience, The smartest looking screen. With so many features and settings set out well, and very more useful features (can’t remember whether a subscription or one time buy because my brain is a sieve, i can get back to you on that. My ebike is set up with carefully picked light, like a bright red light to let me see indicator buttons etc. this app compliments multi colour lighting that is needed on any bike tbh. I like it
