The Spydus Library app allows library patrons to access the online services of their library on their device, any time, anywhere. Functionality includes: • Search for and reserve items • View loans, reservations, and payments • Update personal details • Manage multiple library memberships • Download e-books, e-audio books, and magazines • Save lists of favourite items for later • “Discover” – reading lists, featured items, recommendations • Issue items within the library by scanning the library barcode – (if the library allows)

Back button resets search results

Overall the app is working more smoothly than before, allowing users to stay logged in and place reservations fairly seamlessly. Main gripe is that there’s no way to go back to your search results when searching the catalogue - the back button in the app takes you back to a blank search page, and clicking Search Results in the web interface it pulls up doesn’t do anything. It’d be great if this could be fixed so users can go through their search results without having to reperform the search every time.

I’ve used this app for years, reserving, renewing, checking out books and it’s been useful but since the latest upgrade it’s frustratingly hopeless.I keep getting logged out, or I can’t get in at all, the Select Library button at the beginning doesn’t work when I tried resetting, I’ve now got 2 security passcodes 🤷🏻‍♀️. When, in the history of scams, has anybody tried to hack a library account?!Most times, I’ve had to give up and go directly to the library website. Sort it out, please, people. It can’t be that hard. Many more complex apps out there seem to do the job without this frustrating faffery and the last version worked perfectly well before you messed with it.

Scroll function not working

Cannot scroll to the bottom of the reservation screen (specifically, other pages seem to work fine) so cannot complete reservations on this version as the confirm button is just off the bottom of the visual field. You can drag the screen down but as soon as you lift your finger the screen pops back to the top again. No actual way of feeding this back via the app so cannot see how it will be resolved. Libraries apparently have no influence over the app functionality so cannot help. Frustratingly poor.

After some ‘false starts’ the latest version (1.0.6 at the time of writing) appears to be working well, allowing you to remain logged in and the option to add several family accounts as well. Makes it easier to keep track of your loans and reservations! If you’re having problems, download the latest version!

After some ‘false starts’ the latest version (1.0.6 at the time of writing) appears to be working well, allowing you to remain logged in and the option to add several family accounts as well. Makes it easier to keep track of your loans and reservations! If you’re having problems, download the latest version!

- Creating a passcode is now easier with a flexible text field (minimum 4 characters). - Fixed an issue where the Self Issue feature wasn’t visible on certain server versions. - Improved app stability by resolving a crash after the passcode screen. - Fixed a bug where the Logout of All Accounts option didn’t appear after multiple incorrect passcode attempts. - Passcode now resets properly when the app is reinstalled for better security.
