Quick & easy!

I’ve used various card machines including contracted machines and payg. Square has won the payg hands down for my business. As a small business I can not afford to wait 7 days for money to be deposited, square is in there the next day at no extra cost, of course if you need transactions to be deposited same day then the option of paying extra % is there, great!
The software itself is excellent, I originally purchased the reader & dock only to find out you cannot purchase the stand separately, so I’ve ended up re-purchasing the whole kit - square you need to give the option of the stand to be purchased separately (my only gripe)!

Do not waste your time using square. I initially signed up was allowed to take payment. In which I received a few days later. I then attempted to take another customer payment which declined first time. My customer sent me new details which again square accepted. A day later received an email asking to submit documents. And until I do so my money will be held. Why was this process introduced for the sign up page, instead you have me use the app take payment then hold it. I then submitted the docs and rang customer service I explained that this process is all wrong. And told her I would leave. Then next day I received an email saying your accounts been deactivated as they won’t be able to assist my business needs. What business needs do I have that is difficult? All you do is provide means for customers to make paymet. I then called again and spoke to by a really rude customer service agent. I expressed how this is delaying me paying my staff all they said was we will release the funds to you in 90 DAYS. I asked them why criteria do you need for you to be accepted my square she then said I can’t discuss that as it’s security issue. So I then asked if one of my documents was not sufficient why not let me re upload it. She said I can’t do anything else for you and hanged up the phone mid convo. How disgusting I’m a young male with a start up company and currently employ 40 plus people but yet your service can’t help me.

Do Not use this company

Signed up, ordered their card reader, I then sent an invoice to a customer for him to pay, square took the payment, I then received an email and a notification on my square dashboard saying they needed more info regarding my company and we’re not releasing the funds until they received the additional information, uploaded all info that I could regarding what they needed, next day another notification on my square dashboard saying they needed more info even though this was uploaded, I called their customer service to explain they have received this info, I was told to upload it again to which I did. The next day another notification on the dashboard telling me to refund my customer as they cannot help my business.
If you need a company that provides this service do not use this one. This company needs to get all the relevant information from their customers before they take their money.
