Description

"Yawn, a platformer." Oh yeah? Take that yawn back. Stagehand might look like your typical run-and-jumper, but it plays nothing like one. In Stagehand, you don't control the character, you control… THE STAGE.

Your job is to quickly and strategically position all the platforms on the level before our hero Frank (last seen in The Incident) runs headfirst into a cliff, or feet-first into lava. Stagehand is fast, hilarious, and fun. You're going to have a fantastic time with it.

What's in the box:

• Next-gen pixel graphics.
• 4 unique characters.
• Another earworm of a soundtrack.
• Haptic feedback for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
• Instant respawn for endless score-chasing.
• Share an animated GIF of Frank's final moments!
• The offical Stagehand-iMessage-Sticker-Pack is included with every copy.

Stagehand is everyone's favorite new flavor of the summer. Grab a spoon and dig in!

Editors’ Notes

In Stagehand, the hero’s not the only one performing miracles. We’re having a blast being the godlike helper who lowers ramps and raises barricades so Frank can keep running, jumping and nabbing coins. A frantic pace means lots of dying and retrying, but that’s cool with us—whatever it takes to beat our high score!

Fantastic!

Ugh! So frustrating, but let me try one more time... 😬

And the music is great, although you'll never get it out of your head.

Excellent but could do with more variety

This game feels like a five star for me but my brain won't let me. Here's why.

Animation, art style, sound and music all top notch. This is a nicely built game.

The play mechanic is well done and ramps up in difficulty pretty well.

But because the game is an endless runner with a high score focus, once I've done a solid run I feel disinclined to have another go because it'll be the same as last time (albeit not exactly as the levels are procedurally generated).

What would make this a five star game would be if there were some different worlds to play through and maybe some achievements to unlock to mix things up. Perhaps special items to collect? Power ups that make you run faster/slower/jump higher or something.

With just a touch more variation in play this would be a solid five stars.
