Decent app but some problems

I think the app is great. I enjoy working flexibly and being able to manage my work at uni. The problem is that stinters need to pay for their own travel meaning it deducts your pay. I usually take 3-4 stints a week and that’s £25 taken off my weekly pay. Not much Stint could do but not that huge of a problem. My main problem is how you confirm your attendance. I think I speak for all stinters when we say that we will attend after accepting a stint. I hate having to wake two hours early just to confirm a morning stint when I know I will attend, and that goes for afternoon and evening too. Maybe if the attendance was more convenient there would be less problems. Overall, I’ve enjoyed working through stint and will continue to use this app 🫶🏼

Overall good experience

Most business I’ve worked with have been great and the staff really nice but I’ve had bad experiences too where certain staff have been rude and have not received any consequences from STINT or from their own manager. I have always gotten a 5 star review in every stint I’ve done except one where I believe I got an unfair review and received 2 stars. Apparently I wasn’t working quick enough which is unfair since I was doing everything and their workers were eating in kitchen when it wasn’t their break time either. I booked an appeal call and stint was extremely unhelpful and my rating went down. They didn’t overturn the review and didn’t let me know if they’d had a chat with the business or anything. That shows that stint cared more about the business than my experience with stint. I was extremely disheartened after that and didn’t work a stint for months after.
The app is easy to use however it is annoying that I have to update my availability everyday and that I have to confirm my stint eventhough it’s under 24 hours and unless I want a strike or be kicked off stint I am going to turn up.

Easy to use and good idea

The only downfall really is the last academic year I have not had many opportunities to accept stints because they are snatched so fast, and there is not as many of them. Working flexible hours, and for the same company / similar companies through stint has been really helpful for earning extra income when I’m low on money. The only downfall of the app itself is how I have to select the hours and blocks of days separately, and it’s quite annoying to have to do daily. This issue has been raised by a lot of reviews on both the app store and play store. There are definitely easier ways to lay it out.
