StompBox turns your iPad into a flexible Multi FX Processor, it includes 17 effects plus a 4 Track Recorder and Media Player.

StompBox supports AudioBus and Apple’s Inter-App Audio making an excellent general purpose audio processing tool for all musicians, not just guitarists.

As seen in Apples "Love" iPad TV Commercial.

With StompBox you get the best of both worlds, a rack of professional sounding stereo effects (with far more control than simple foot pedals) and a foot controller to access a tuner and all your patches.

Simply listen through a pair of headphones, or attach to an external amplifier or hifi to truly experience the program in all its glory!

Once you have built up a library of patches, you can use the virtual foot controller to quickly and easily move between patches. The Virtual Foot controller gives instant access to all patch parameters and amp settings, with the ability to enable and disable individual effects at the touch of a button. If you want to modify an effect parameter, simply scroll the effect rack into view and make your changes.

Many guitar apps use a form of Amp Modelling which in most cases is just fancy form of EQ. This is great for electric guitars, but not so good for accoustic. StompBox allows various amp EQ's both via the PreAmp and additional effects, but the important thing for accoutic guitar users is that these EQ's can be completely bypassed. This is where StompBox really shines, giving a faithful reproduction of accoustic instruments. This also means StompBox can be used on keyboards too.

Money Down the Drain

As a disgruntled Amplitube user I was so excited about this alternative. Unfortunately, this is a flawed, dismal attempt, albeit one which is so nearly an awesome product.

It crashes every time you try to use an import feature and suffers truly horrific feedback when used with an irig and speakers. On the occasions it does work, volume levels are often too low.

To waste £12 on this is bad enough, but even worse is that the developers have completely ignored my multiple emails and I'm left with something I can hardly use.

I have tried everything suggested in the help file but to no avail.

This is daylight robbery and I'm now going back to using real pedals.

Spending big money on apps is becoming such a lottery these days. itunes seem to offer no protection whatsoever from these bad developers.

Simple and easy to use

This is still one of my favourite guitar apps after all these years. I love the idea of a rack rather than an array of pedals, although a foot controller is there if you need it. It has Midi support too so I can use my line 6 stompbox.

As good as Guitar Rig

Well done! this is a very good app.

Have just been trying it out using a Behringer USB Sound Card I have to say, I'm very impressed and am sure I will be using this a great deal both on and off stage.

As for noise levels, I think a lot depends on what devices you use to input/output the audio. The Behringer sound card I used gave as good as Guitar Rig. Good enough for me. The real test will be through a PA in a hall but that won't be for a while.

Next step will be to see if Alesis IO rig will allow MIDI foot switch to work at the same time as Audio I/O.

Looking forward to some more effects too, E.G. Bass Synth etc. would be useful

Keep up the good work.

Only issue I have found is the speed of changing effects. Would be nice if you could speed this up.
