Use this HSC contact tracing app to help all of us in NI by stopping or slowing the spread of COVID-19.

** Help avoid more lockdowns **
** Save lives **
How does the app work?
If you are in close contact with an app user who has added a positive COVID-19 test result to their app, this app will notify you. You won’t know who, when or where.
If you test positive for COVID-19 you can add that result to this app. This will notify other app users that you have been in close contact with. This app will never reveal your identity or location.
How is my privacy protected?
It uses the ‘Exposure Notification API’ developed by Apple and Google in a joint effort to help governments and health agencies reduce the spread of COVID-19 through contact tracing, with user privacy and security core to the design. This is sometimes referred to as the ‘decentralised’ model.
If you test positive for COVID-19 you will get a code by SMS text message from 'HSCresult'. When you put that code into this app you will be asked to share the random IDs that your phone has been swapping with other app users over the last 14 days. If you agree, these 'diagnosis keys' will allow us to tell those people that they have been exposed to COVID-19.
So that you can use this app when travelling abroad we will securely share 'diagnosis keys' with other countries. This also means that apps used by visitors from those countries will work here.
** This app will never track your identity or location **

Unable to turn on exposure notifs
States no compatible app to let me turn on exposure notifications. iPhone 7 on latest software. Deleted app, useless
Update- deleted app & re downloaded it. Worked this time to enable notifications. I think iOS needs to be on latest version before downloading the app. If app is downloaded first then software updated it doesn’t pick up the new app for notifications & set up to work.
Not working at all on iPhone 11 iOS 13.6
Tried uninstalling, restarting phone, my phone is fully up to date, privacy settings are correct, but it freezes on the screen after the 18+ click box. It announces you have to be resident in NI (I am!!!), but there is nothing to click to say I live here and I can only close the app by swiping up. It just freezes. I’ve seen what it’s supposed to look like on my family’s phones, so I know it’s not meant to look like this!
The Irish app worked fine. Just in case it was interfering in some way, I uninstalled it too, but my daughter’s iPhone (same OS) is running both alongside each other with no trouble.
Update: with latest iOS 14.0 update, this app now works.
This app does not work on iOS 14.0
After going through the installation process, it won’t allow the ‘Exposure Notifications’ to be switched on. In iOS settings, privacy, Bluetooth, it states that it is not available in my region. This is an obvious bug as my other iPhone is correctly configured under ios13.5.1
