Good game but get protection
There’s a lot to this game, the shooting puzzles are a very small part of it and the intricacies of it are still lost on me after a year of playing.
However, I’d like to comment on what has concerned some Reviewers - costs and constant attacks.
What has been written about having to spend a fair bit of cash is true to a point. It’s more than clear that some have spent an unholy amount to get to where they are in the game. Whereas, I agonise over spending the occasional fiver to top up my meagre resources from time to time, and that’s why I’m nowhere near as powerful as others. But there are ways to (slowly) raise resources even if you are on a budget , and I find that quite a challenge in itself.
However, it is important to get protection and join an alliance immediately. You’ll have no hope if you don’t . I have seen my alliance grow and develop to the point where we haven’t had to worry about regularly getting our soft behinds handed to us on a plate for a very long time. Unity = Strength.
So be prepared to spend something, be patient (if you’re on a budget) and join an alliance that can protect you.
Fun game, addictive
Lots of elements to this game, from the causal shooting elements to developing your estate in massive detail. The team have put a lot of thought in to all the different game elements but boy do they want you to spend money. It’s not impossible to progress without paying which I applaud, but it becomes increasingly more difficult as you level up ( they use a logarithmic scale!!). You find yourself wanting to spend money to one up your foes or even your own alliance friends!! Lots of fun for all sorts of players, from casual to hardcore. Get yourself in a good alliance though it helps!!
I’ve been playing for 7 months and have progressed a lot without spending that much money and happy to keep playing for months to come! Well done devs
Kept my interest for almost a year now :)
This game has many things to do. It is predominantly a building your camp type game, but many different building types, troop types, things to collect and use, things to improve your ability.
If you get into a good, friendly, chatty + supportive alliance it makes it way more fun.
For an adult (in their 50s) it has been enough to keep me interested - which many, many games dont - and it keeps it interesting, with shooting activities (as per marketing pics) and other events.
Would thoroughly recommend.
With regards to ‘spending’ gold, the gold you’ve earned through activities, I think Ive spent less than 1 GBP in all my time and am quite well advanced. Other people spend lots of real money, I prefer to earn the advancement with patience and stamina and the assistance of a great alliance.
