StoryGraph: Reading Tracker 12+

Great app

I much prefer this app to other book tracking apps. I always found goodreads clunky and hard to use but storygraph is really fun and easy. Their new AI features I’m not the greatest fan of because I much prefer the blurbs or summaries to be written by people but I just ignore these and they aren’t like invading so it’s okay. The AI can be turned off easily in ‘preferences’
I love the challenges and I like adding other users and reading books they have enjoyed. It’s simple and easy to use, the app for both phone and IPad are great layouts and the online version is great too. Major issue is that on my app I am unable to get the ‘challenges’ thing where it is on the online format and I cannot find it anywhere else.
I love how I can track my reading. One thing I do struggle to do on the app is back- dating my reading. I found it so confusing and frustrating to do as it isn’t something very easy to find or do. Sometimes I am going to forget to track my reading and not being able to have access to back date my reading is pretty frustrating. I did enjoy the 2023 and 2024 reading rewind they were both very fun.
A widget would be really cool so I can see any progress or current book on my Home Screen?

Hello! The Challenges icon is the bottom one in the mobile app bar. And perhaps we can provide some tips on backdating reading? Email us at support@thestorygraph.com. Great app!!

I’ve downloaded this app around the start of this year and I love using it. However, earlier today when I went to track my progress as I had finished a book, I typed in the page number but the percentage wasn’t at 100% but I had finished the book. Where it gives you the option to change between pages or percent, I switched it to percent to change my journal track progress to 100%.

After, it wasn’t giving me the option to switch from pages to percent so I was stuck with the percent and I track my progress when pages. I started reading a new book and I track my progress from every chapter but I had to edit my journal so I could change to pages but now the percent and the side doesn’t go up any. I’ve read three chapters of my book but the percent at the side is still 0%.

I’m not sure if it’s a bug or if it’s happening to anybody else but I hope it gets fixed. Apart from that I really like this app!

When you've finished a book, the best thing to do is mark it as 'read', rather than doing a progress update, and if you don't have the pages option when reading a digital or print book, it means that the book record doesn't have its pages listed on StoryGraph.

I love StoryGraph! Not only is it easier to navigate, and responds quicker than Goodreads, it gives you soooo much more, including delicious data! If you’re a data nerd then you’ll LOVE this app! The stats at the end of each year is incredible and gives info on things you wouldn’t even think about, such as mood maps, comparable months and how many new authors you read for the year. You can either enter challenges or create your own with the additional comfort of making them private or public. Plus, if there is an edition of a book that isn’t on SG, you can manually input it with zero complications, effort or lag. Honestly, it’s such a smoothly run app and only fuels my obsession for books. Oh, and did I mention that they include giveaways for countries OTHER THAN THE US?! Yup! 😋🤩
