Voco is a touch-controlled phase vocoder for manipulating sampled sound.
The sound is mapped onto the screen, with time running left to right, and pitch up and down. By touching the screen the sound can be manipulated and played like an instrument.
Sounds can be sampled from the microphone, via Audiobus, or loaded from iTunes or AudioShare.

Not working after update
Updated review: this isn't working at all on my Air 2 (last iOS 10 version) since the update.

From the playback side if things, this app works great - you can pick any point of a sample, and play it at any scale. It does this one thing better than other sampler apps.
But - file management doesn't work well, you can't rename recordings or delete old files.
If this could be fixed it'd be much more user friendly.
Great niche gizmo
It's great fun to mess around with, providing you use 44khz samples, and produces some interesting alien or ghostly sounding twists to the spoken word. Voco is a useful addition to the arsenal of any digital dabbler, and with excellent developer support.
Novel and fun
This has a novel way of playing back samples. Fun to play with.
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
