Description
"Stravinski" is a melody generator that creates eight-bar piano melodies with adjustable complexity. The algorithm is based on scientific research in the field of music psychology. It is developed by the team behind "CHAiOS SYNTH 2".
Workflow: set the complexity to your preferred level, press "generate", then "play". That's it. Hit "settings" to set tempo and key, or toggle the drum tracks on/off.
Of cause "Stravinski" supports Audiobus, Inter-App Audio and MIDI out.

Clean, straightforward and fun
Nice, simple interface, and does what it says. Well enough to be fun. Nothing to complain about as a free app. But it would be nice if patterns generated could be saved in-app, and notes could be altered for velocity, sustain, etc. The ability to tie notes together would be very welcome. I’d happily buy such extra functionality as an IAP.

Musical and flexible.
Revisited this and found it to be really good. The melodies generated are genuinely musical and I am using for ear training purposes. It works really well for that.
Awful, random, ugly
With a name like this I'd expect something more akin to what Deepmind can do these days. But this was naive and simplistic. Might've been good 15-20 years ago.

We are sorry that the algorithm doesn't fit your needs. 'Stravinski' is a
probabilistic algorithm which uses a unique complexity formula based on scientific research in the field of music psychology to evaluate the generated melodies. It has nothing to do with Deepmind or other 'ai'-algorithms because it doesn't analyze existing music rather than creating new melodies from scratch. It is just a different approach to generating melodies.
