Cannot get it to work either!
The app finds my chromecast and connects, but then there is no audio Chromecast per the User instructions… also, no video - so don’t know how to get this to work! Please help!
Really good and just works
I bought this to stream movies of all different file types from my Mac to my Chromecast. It works great and you can even build a playlist that references your file locations rather than making a duplicate copy within the app. The playlist stays populated after shutting down and restarting the Mac.
Casting is perfect and you have full control over the transport from your Mac. Actually my TV remote can pause the stream and play again when ready without having to go to the Mac, but this may be a feature of the TV …I’m not sure.
There are a couple of minor interface niggles that are a bit annoying which are the only reason I haven’t given 5 stars. The main thing I noticed was everything is based on dropdown menus and sub-menus that are pinned to the menu bar. This can be annoying if your mouse navigation is anything less than 100% accurate and also means you have to scroll through your playlist due to only being able to see 6 files at any one time. Having said that, I’m being really picky, because this is something that is no problem at all once you’re sat down watching your movie …and it’s only £4.99 which is excellent value.
UI could be better designed, but does it’s job really well. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone thanks.
