Our goal is to make the free version of the app the best free strength training log on the market! Using it, you'll be able to log an infinite amount of workouts, add your own exercises, view basic statistics and track your PRs (both singles and rep records). And you'll get access to a lot of workouts and training programs for different training goals, like building strength or muscle mass!

If you level up to a premium subscription, you'll gain access to more advanced statistics, our full catalog of training programs, great features such as quick stats for sets, and the ability to log sets with reps in reserve (RIR) or rate of perceived exertion (RPE). You will also contribute to the continued development of the app, and we thank you greatly for that!

Subscriptions

In-app you’re able to subscribe to our premium version of the StrengthLog App, in the form of automatically renewable subscriptions.

• Choose between 1 month, 3 months and 12 months.
• Your subscription will be charged to your App Store account upon confirmation of purchase and will be renewed automatically 24 hours before the end of the subscription period if the subscription is not canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• An active subscription cannot be canceled during the active subscription period. However, you can choose to turn auto-renew on/off in your App Store account settings.

When giving the app permission to sync with Apple Health, we only share the information you request us to share – the app does not receive any data in return – and the data is only shared with your private Apple account.

What’s New

Version 6.5.2

This version contains the fitness advent calendar. If you haven’t updated yet, it’s time to do so!

In addition to that, we’ve added some highly anticipated stuff:
• We’ve redesigned our muscle maps and added two muscle groups: the neck, and the hip flexors.
• Strength, Cardio, and Mobility now have icons in the exercise library and when you search for exercises.
• You can now filter the exercise library by exercise type.
• Add your own descriptions to exercises you’ve created yourself.
• Copy planned workouts to the program builder.
• Timer upgrades: tap once to edit your rest time (also added adjust by +/- 30-sec buttons), and we moved all other timer settings to the settings tab.
• Add an exercise-specific rest time directly on an exercise in your active workout, by tapping the three dots to the right of its name.

Incredible app, what everyone needs

Wow. Just wow. I have been searching for an app like this for YEARS and I don’t know how it’s only just popped up. It literally does everything I have dreamed an app would do without having to pay through the nose for (or at all). You can log your own workouts, changing the weight each time. Tells you when you’ve hit PB’s for motivation. Gives you stats of your workouts, when you completed workouts with dates and times - gosh it’s just incredible. There is a section to build your own workouts or if you need some help, an entire section of pre built workouts to follow. There is a premium feature also, I’m yet to access this. But the basic feature is mind blowing. Well done to whoever created this, you’ve done an incredible job. I’m so happy with it.

Great features but clunky interface and buggy

I started using this app a couple months ago as it had a lot of extra features my other one didn’t (like body composition measurements and the like).
However I’ve noticed if you have a workout plan made and you add weight for progressive overload, these weights will not be saved for next time you do the workout.
For example if I made the workout plan with a 90kg bench press and then I managed to do 100kg and I logged it, next week, when doing chest again, those sets and reps will be back to 90kg. Kind of makes the whole point in logging it pointless.
I’m not sure if it has always been like this or if it’s a bug but until I get a solution from app developer I have no use for the app.
That paired with a relatively cluttered and, somewhat difficult initial set up I have given it 3*… it really does have the potential for 5 as most of the features are free (which is great don’t get me wrong) and, if it worked as it should, it would be perfect.

Great App

Really appreciate this app, I must be honest I haven’t tried any other lift logging apps but looking at them they don’t seem to have some of the features I love from StrengthLog.

Whenever I work out in any form I am completely addicted to the stats, so I love being able to see the progression when lifting too, yet to get the paid version of the app (I’ve been very tempted but have been trying to cut down on subscriptions recently, maybe you guys could introduce a student discount program just for me 😉).
Thanks to the devs and everyone else at StrengthLog, not sure why everyone isn’t using the app but I’m converting the world 1 person at a time.
