Clapped out builder looking for a better life

I’m in my fifties, overweight (slightly 🤭), builder. I used to be quite active, but lately less so.
I’ve been getting more and more aches & pains and not recovering as quickly after heavy days at work as I used to. I noticed that I was starting to avoid bending over and jumping on/off stuff! as I was always feeling stiff. A mate said I should try yoga to loosen myself up a bit. But the thought of me going off to a gym in a leotard and bending over for the masses put me right off!
Then I discovered this app (it appeared on my fb feed that evening - funny that!). I signed up, it wasn’t much (I’ve signed up to a lot worse things on facebook!)
I’ve been using it for about a month now. It’s been a total game changer. I noticed improvements on day one! I like that I can do it anytime, choose a routine that suits me, and target specific areas I need help with, the instructions and illustrations are easy to follow, I can wear whatever I want (I’m usually in my pants!)
If you’re anything like I used to be, I’d recommend you try this out, it’s literally taken years off of me! What’s the worst that can happen!

Simple, just how it should be.

So I’ve just bought the year membership for this app. Firstly, the price, it’s good. On 50% sale £26 for the whole year? I looked at other stretching apps, trying to find one with a good UI and customisability, they are all significantly more expensive (talking some £160 a year…) Bend is simple, stretching is simple, you don’t have to get a posture completely perfect, don’t sweat it. It should be uncomfortable at most, that shows it’s working.

If I had to give some constructive criticism it would be maybe you could make more pre-packaged stretching programs, focused on certain sports? And also more dynamic stretches as these are very limited…

I come from a climbing background and wanted something that would improve climbing specific flexibility (hips are very important, ankle, hamstring, and wrist flexibility). Granted you can make these yourself but the full list can seem overwhelming!

Used everyday since I got it

I’ve wanted to get into stretching since being diagnosed with a muscle disorder. I spend a lot of time at a desk so find this really useful for getting me moving in the daytime. In the morning I do the posture reset at my desk, then after lunch I do tech neck to loosen off and not get seized up. In the evenings I tend to chose shoulders or hamstrings or whatever takes my fancy and I find it is really helping. It’s really simple and I like that no videos to watch just get on with the stretching, and if I’m not sure I’ll just pause it and read the instructions before moving on. You can even adjust the rest time between each move if you don’t feel like you’ve got enough time between each position.
Overall really good for me, and cheaper than the price of a coffee a month.
