This means that Strongbox is free with a basic feature set, but if you like there are enhanced Pro features too. You can opt-in to a Free Trial of all the Pro features if you like, no obligations, but most find the Free version perfectly adequate.

• Strongbox provides In-App Purchases (both auto renewable subscriptions and one-off non-consumable) for Pro versions of the App
• An outright/upfront (i.e. non In-App Purchase) option exists also, please see the Strongbox website for details.
• Subscriptions are auto renewable with recurring billing. Cancel anytime.
• The time period of the subscriptions are monthly or yearly at users discretion
• Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period
• Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal
• Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase
• Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable

Generally happy customer
I loved StrongBox enough that I paid for the Pro version.
Generally very useful and is my go to password manager on my Mac.
Some usability features are hard to figure out. I still haven't figured out how to use their QuickType feature.
A Fantastic Password Manager for MacOS
Why use Strongbox?
1. Open source.
2. For MacOS it offers a way to use the excellent KeePass security in a polished and intuitive app.
3. Has an equally good iPhone & iPad app.
4. You can self host your database, syncing with WebDAV or SFTP. Or you cloud sync to iCloud, Google etc. Even keep the database on your Mac if you choose.
5. Great for family password sharing. Instead of paying for those family sync options in other password managers you can create a database to share in Strongbox, sync with your iCloud Drive, then share the database file using iCloud Drive with others so they too can access the synced database. Easy.
6. The Pro lifetime subscription can be shared as part of Family Sharing.
7. Create multiple databases if you choose. Perhaps have one that you share from iCloud, one stored in Google Drive and one on a local home server like DiskStation or FreeNAS.
8. It works well with default settings but has lots of customisation options too if you want.
The Pro upgrade is well worth the money and it helps support the developer too!

Highly Recommended
When I moved from Windows to Apple I wanted an App that would pick up and use my established password locker database. Bingo, I found Stringbox. This does the job, and it does the job very well indeed. Well sructured, easy to read and well laid out screens, allowing easy passord use and updating. The developer is also very responsive. I had a small issue resulting from the App store not prompting me to take an update. In a brief exchange of emails I was given the easy fix I needed by taking a further download of the revised App. That advice was given in the space of a couple of hours. Bravo. Highly recommended app and developer.
