Description
Sunsynk Logger App has been developed to help you get the most out of your Sunsynk inverter.
It has been specially tailored for the customers and installers.
Using the Sunsynk Logger app with your Sunsynk inverter gives you complete remote control of your system from anywhere in the world!
Real-time Monitoring – The Sunsynk Logger App lets you monitor multiple stats such as energy generation, battery status, grid, and load statistics.
Change Settings Remotely - You can control all settings on the inverter from your mobile phone or PC without having to visit the inverter in person.
Sharing Plant Connection - Customers can share their connection with their installer, permanently or temporarily.
If they need help with any settings or configuration on their system, or if the installer needs to run any diagnostic checks, there is no need to visit site. The customer can share their plant connection and the installer can run any diagnostics / make any configuration changes from their own account.
Octopus Agile Intergration - UK users can use the Live Price feature, using this you can look at the live prices provided by Octopus Energy and amend your charge and discharge prices with those figures in mind.
Reporting – Users can generate detailed reports and export them to a PDF file. You can generate reports an that day, week, month, and year, or you can create custom reports.
Events / Alerts – The Sunsynk Logger app will notify you if there are any events such as any warnings or faults or if there is any sudden loss in power.

1.11.4 breaks the “power flow” view
Hilarious that every update of this app is just documented as “Bug fix”, and that this latest release has now broken the “power flow” view which shows the breakdown of PV, battery, grid and total load. Instead, there’s just a blank space where that animation once was, and a new “Details” button. The Details button also takes me to a blank view.
It’s a very poor reflection on the company that they don’t describe what works they have actually done, and that they somehow got the app past Apple’s release process when such a major feature of the app just stopped working.
I’ll be making sure that the app doesn’t ipdate on my phone so i get to keep the flow view.
Awful UI. Hard to read, enough to rule out system
Been looking at various Solar PV suppliers as looking to install both panels and battery system. SunSynk is on the list of potentials, and while I appreciate the ability to download the app and try some virtual setups to see what it’s like, it’s a huge disappointment. The text is far too small, lacks contrast, and in my mid 50’s, even with reading glasses, it’s almost impossible to read the UI and text. It may be the best for functionality (hard to tell), but the poor accessibility of the app is enough to rule out the system as a whole. I don’t want to use a magnifying glass to read my phone screen to see what the system is doing. See this far too often with UI designers in their mid-twenties that have no consideration for older users, with poor eyesight, even if technically proficient. Huge shame.
Bug fix problem
No idea what bug the latest bug fix 1.14 was to correct . But For some reason the overview screen had been changed from version 1.10 . Not a good change for me . Before the change the equipment overview screen showing power flow etc had yellow images now all the four images are transparent and the screen is less clear than before. As the previous reviewer i have an iphone and the power flow screen keeps showing zero figures . I’ve raised a ticket and reached out to the help desk but at the moment i’m left with an app where the the zero power screen issue remains unresolved
