Having been already tracking my own steps (& wellbeing) for sometime now, I am enjoying using Sweatcoin for a deeper insight into my steps. I particularly like the comparison charts (last week, month, year, etc.). It’s also quite cool to have a financial incentive for exercising, health and wellbeing… (though this is not ‘investment’ or financial advice)… I do strongly believe in the future of the Sweatcoin app, project and the separate Sweat Wallet app. It’s also important to note that if you’re not interested in the cryptocurrency aspect, you can simply turn this off with the flick of a switch in the app’s settings (it may be off by default actually, but I have had it on forever so I can’t absolutely confirm)! Finally, Sweatcoin has many monthly rewards and giveaways; this month there’s a Samsung S26, an iPhone 17 + AirPods Pro 3, and an Apple Watch SE 3 up for grabs - and all you have to do is have the app installed and running in the background, and move! Very cool app and highly recommend by myself! * Financial incentives/ rewards include the cryptocurrency SWEAT, and various giveaways as mentioned above.

So far my experience with the app has been ok, except...expect one Big mistake on their side. You see when you decide to put an offer which promises to give you a reward when you manage to fulfil it, it’s supposed to hold it side of the deal right, well according to their support, to be precise the so called Lola from the sweatcoin team, that doesn’t work that way. It all started with a new offer that had poped up in my store and surprise surprise, it offered money, but in exchange of what...10 referrals. Easy i thought, i spread the word of the app and some friends of mine decided to go for it and at the end of the day i managed to refer more than 10 people to the app. The offer was fulfilled and now i had to wait for my 20 USD$$$ to be transferred to my paypal. And so the waiting began. I waited a week and decided to contact them again, and so i met Lola, from the sweatcoin team. She said to me that my money should be there in 3-5 business days and spoiler alert, it wasn’t 5 days. In fact i received my money nor did i hear from Lola after the last e-mail she sent me after numerous attempts to contact her, in which she explained that the money had already been sent. I asked for some sort of a proof, a screenshot for example to show me that there was in fact a transaction. Well Lola never managed to respond and neither did the support. Two months later and without a trace of my money i am writing this review so more people can know of the so called “Influencer Pay Pal offer “.

Good concept, some problems

The concept of this app is good, encouraging people to move more and offering an incentive to do so. Unfortunately the offers you receive to spend your coins are nothing but a waste of time, either a small discount on sites that already have discounts or new start ups that you’ve never heard of and offering nothing of interest. Moving to the monthly challenges rewarding you for walking 250,000 steps to earn a guaranteed 25 coins and entry into a prize draw. The step tracking is all but broken for this almost because they want to ensure you can’t earn the 25 coins or entry to the (probably non existent) prize draw. For example so far this month the app has tracked 70,000 steps in 8 days but the challenge is only showing 53,000, each month you’d need to walk at least an extra 40,000 or more steps to be close to completing the challenge. Some positives like the encouragement to get out and move more but also many issues that of fixed could make this a really good appEdit - the 2x daily boost no longer works, start it up and walk for 20 mins then watch the boost analyse for the rest of the day until you run out of time and it resets for the next day!!

I have had this app for several years and it certainly has encouraged me to be more active and aware of my steps. Not finding however anything of use to me for my sweat-coins, I used to regularly transfer them to my son. This transfer procedure seems to have been hidden/removed from my app and I have made sure that I have kept it updated. Reaching out to support, they just give me the steps I have tried over and over to do without success. I have even sent screenshots of the screen where they suggest I will find the ‘send’ button. It just isn’t there! Not much point in me keeping this app really. Even some ads regularly hang up and the advice from support is to delete and add the app again. ( and lose all my sweatcoins?) or turn phone on/off. This gets irritating when needed to do more than once a day to remedy. I have lost the love for this app.All the above is correct for me and the only glimmer of hope was when support suggested the transfer facility might be returned in the update. I have downloaded this latest update and still no ability to transfer coins. I am gutted.Will you be honest enough to even put this review on the app page??????
