Good but requires improvement
I like the app, but there are a few things that would really streamline the app and make it very good.
Firstly there is no way to be able to contact absolute taste via the app other than when you are booked onto an event. Would be nice to have a section where I can message absolute taste through the app if I have a general question or a telephone number listed/email address if you don’t want to have a message us section on the app.
In my profile section my telephone number and date of birth never save on the app. Each time I put it in and save it, my information disappears.
I have worked in hospitality for 20 years and have a lot of different skills and experience. In this update you have added extra roles, however I’m not able to add these roles to my profile. The only one that defaults is wait staff. I have reception experience, bar experience, security experience, but there is no way to add these roles to my profile.
It would also be great if over time you could list all the available jobs so candidates can pick and choose the work they want to do.
Every time you click apply for jobs there is nothing there. Only time a job appears is either last minute (within few days) or when someone cancels their shift.
Used to be innovative
I’ve been with Syft since more a less since it was new. I’ve seen them grow from a tiny office in Covent Garden to a bigger and bigger office. It’s been probably the best staffing agency.
I’m sorry to say that it’s no longer as good as it used be, especially in terms of being reliable. You used to be able to ring up, now you can’t, unless you’re a venue. (Off to Work has more than 10 numbers to ring and you can talk directly to whoever you need to speak to).
The only way to contact them now is via email and live chat. Which is ok if they actually responded. Emailing them is actually a (bad) joke. I emailed them in October last year about something very important that had happened on a shift, I didn’t get a response until February, when I had already forgotten about it. I understand that perhaps because it was a busy period.
But how do they explain the fact that I made a very important request last April (2018) and I’ve have literally just got a response now May 2019? It’s a joke.
This is just two personal examples of many.
